Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that accounting records are maintained accurately and timely to meet the target completion of monthly closing.
• Review the monthly financial performance, highlighting key variances and conducting investigations of exceptions
• Track operating expenses/capital expenditure utilization.
• Engage all parties concerned and highlight areas of improvement.
• Assist in the planning and execution of the annual budget and monthly forecasting process
• A key liaison for the statutory auditors and manage accounting matters arising from the audit.
• Ensure regulatory and tax compliance (statutory audit, GST returns, corporate income tax submission, etc.)
• Familiar with Grant audit and submission process
• Familiar with Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOP) and Share-Based Compensation (SBC) is advantageous.
• Review current internal controls and seek continuous process improvements in strengthening the control procedures.
• Participate in special projects (SOX readiness and etc.) and financial & tax due diligence.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

• A recognized accounting qualification, CA/CPA preferred (CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Minimum 10 years of auditing and accounting experience
• High level of integrity, self-motivating, capable of working independently and taking initiatives
• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management ability to work with broadly defined goals
• Ability to take abstract concepts in the form of requirements and to provide business and system solutions in problem-solving.
• Ability to present and explain financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to deliver results within a short timeline
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills
