Qualifications and Skills: Requires a relevant finance qualification (or partial qualification), fluency in English, strong written and verbal communication skills, and advanced Microsoft Office (especially Excel) proficiencyWhat You Will Work OnThe Finance Manager will assist the Senior Finance Manager IRM where required and take ownership of the following duties:General Ledger data entry to trial balance, including prepaid, accruals, fixed assets and intercompany account transactions
Maintenance of the finance system, Certinia, including, where required, integration with Crisis24 CRM
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Monthly reporting and presentation to SVP Finance and Managing Director of Integrated Risk Management, including forecasts and variance analysis
Finance Business Partnering within Crisis24 Division, including management of departmental P&Ls and budgets, including liaising with other regional departments to drive process and performance improvement through enhanced integration with Finance
Bank and cash management, including managing cash-flow, monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, plus liaising with bank where necessary
Accounts receivable, including preparation of sales invoices on an as required basis and immediate following up on late ARs with the support of Account Managers if needed
Accounts payable, including setup of payments for authorization
Review of data for monthly payroll as prepared by payroll provider
Preparation and filing of quarterly GST returns, and any other filings to meet local regulatory and government requirements
Assisting with audits, including management of audit queries with both local and group auditors
Financial oversight over India entity, supported by external local accountants as required
Support office management and IT related tasks in collaboration with internal teams
Liaising and coordinating with the secretariat office for updates and meeting regulatory filings
Occasionally support the delivery of strategic corporate projects
Ad hoc tasks as and when requiredWho You Will Work WithReporting to Senior Finance Manager IRM, based in South Africa
Internally: Focus on general finance tasks, working independently within entity and as part the wider Crisis24 finance team. Build relationship and foster highly effective team working and collaboration with senior management in Singapore and counterparts in other countries such as the SVP Finance, VP Finance (IRM), Group Financial Controller and Crisis24 Finance Managers in the UK, DACH and US
Externally: Local banks, suppliers, clients, contractors, auditors, accountants, advisors, payroll providersAccountability:
The Finance Manager is accountable to the Senior Manager Finance IRM for their responsibilities stated in this job description. These responsibilities will be monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance review and supported through the monitoring of their KPIs
Core accountabilities are:Accurate submissions of works scope and report
Ensures compliance with financial controls, upholds financial governance, and is vigilant to suspicious transactions and fraud
Meeting submission deadlines
Execution of defined administrative tasks
Participation in company performance management cycleWhat You Will BringAt least 1-2 years\' experience in a Finance Manager or equivalent role, or looking to step up into the role
Must have a Finance qualification or be studying towards one
Professional qualification in ACCA or CPA or equivalent will be an added advantage
