SUMMARY

\xc2\xb7 Our client who is a leading company in the western fast food service chain is currently looking for a Finance & Planning Director who will be responsible for and supervising the effective and efficient day-to-day running of the Accounting, Planning and Treasury sections to provide the management team with timely and accurate financial information needed for the management of the businesses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Planning and Analysis

\xc2\xb7 Develop financial plans and budgets in line with the company\'s strategic objectives.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Provide timely, accurate and insightful financial analysis of Company\'s initiatives to aid management team for decision making.

\xc2\xb7 Conduct feasibility studies for new business initiatives and investment opportunities.

2. Marketing Support

\xc2\xb7 Analyze pre and post promotional impact of new strategies and communicate financial implications to management team.

3. Development Support

\xc2\xb7 Evaluate viability of new stores/image enhancement/closure proposals.

\xc2\xb7 Evaluate lease renewal proposals.

\xc2\xb7 Post tracking of investments

4. Financial Reporting:

\xc2\xb7 Ensure accurate and timely preparation of management reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

\xc2\xb7 Manage the year-end audit process.

\xc2\xb7 Manage external auditors and tax agents to ensure any potential exposures or problems are proactively brought to management\'s attention and resolve promptly.

5. Cash Management:

\xc2\xb7 Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity to meet the company\'s obligations.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Perform treasury functions including reviewing monthly cash forecasts, managing, and administering loans, cash surplus and facilities etc.

6. Taxation and Compliance:

\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filing requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and advise the management team on their impact.

\xc2\xb7 Manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.

7. Finance - Controls & Processes

\xc2\xb7 Establish effective AR, AP and FA standard operating processes and ensure that they are adhered to by all relevant parties, including restaurants.

\xc2\xb7 Lead discussion on accounting related issues across departments. Where appropriate, recommends, develop, and implement policies and procedures to address the issues.

\xc2\xb7 Facilitate and prepare the departments / company for internal and external audit requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Review and recommend improvement to existing accounting policies and procedures to keep up with the needs of the businesses.

\xc2\xb7 Oversee Enterprise Risk Management

8. Team Management:

\xc2\xb7 Lead and manage the finance team to ensure effective performance and professional development.

\xc2\xb7 Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

9. Liaison with internal and external parties

\xc2\xb7 Undertake group insurance exercise and negotiate terms with insurers.

\xc2\xb7 Work closely with the franchisor and parent company on all issues relating to finance e.g. franchisee receivables, insurance, reports etc.

\xc2\xb7 Support all departments for any required accounting information or systems where needed with accurate and timely data.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in conducting financial-related training for key personnel including RGMs, AMs etc as and when needed.

10. Financial Systems

\xc2\xb7 Ensure system integrity through regular maintenance in terms of creations of new accounts, cost centers, updates of necessary data fields, performance of year end roll over and clear functions etc.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure integrity of reports and supports end users on their requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Support system implementation and upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.

\xc2\xb7 Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA).

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency with Singapore GAAP.

\xc2\xb7 At least 10 years\' experience in a senior finance role managing a sizable team, preferably in the F&B and FMCG industry.

\xc2\xb7 Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, cash management, taxation, and compliance.

\xc2\xb7 Strong leadership and team management skills.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

\xc2\xb7 Strong PC skills, preferably in Microsoft, Hyperion, and Acumatica.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to analyze, make sound and solution focused recommendations.

\xc2\xb7 Must be detail oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines. \xc2\xb7 A team player and able to maintain confidentiality.
