What you will be working on:

• Perform and manage the timely monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reports and providing strategic insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure compliance with Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead the implementation of FRS 117 Insurance Contracts. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather and analyze financial performance, identifying anomalies and risks from the review of financial data. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and implement effective financial processes and systems to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and financial regulations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage and optimise funds\' cash flows, maximizing investment returns while adhering to risk management policies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting officers, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and professional development. \xe2\x80\xa2 Act as a liaison with Government Bodies, Statutory Boards, and the President\'s Office on financial reporting matters, ensuring compliance and timely submissions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the overall finance function.

What we are looking for:

• Relevant work experience in accounting or audit, preferably with prior working experience or familiarity to the insurance industry. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good understanding of Singapore/Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards, with proficiency in FRS 109 Financial Instruments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and convey complex financial information effectively. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with PowerBI or similar business intelligence tools preferred, with the ability to use data visualisation for enhanced reporting and insights. \xe2\x80\xa2 Continuous learning mindset, with a willingness to stay updated on evolving accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will hold the corporate title of Manager/Senior Manager, with seniority based on individual work experiences.
