We are currently working with a global Data Centre Operator that has strong establishments in the SEA Region, to look for a Financial Controller who will head up the Finance Department in SEA and will be leading the charge in the end to end functions of the Finance structure and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Business Unit Controllers to assist in meeting their financial reporting requirements.
- Ensure the implementation of effective internal controls, maintain precise financial reporting, adhere to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and DLA (company-specific) policies, and oversee tax filings.
- Provide support for treasury management and working capital.
- Take the lead in managing statutory, tax, and management reporting, as well as budgeting, forecasting, reporting of actual financial results, and conducting financial analysis of business performance. Drive Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) activities in Southeast Asia.
- Manage overhead costs and expenses.
- Foster communication and coordination with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities to facilitate company account audits and oversee tax and treasury matters. Interact with both internal and external audit teams.
- Develop the skills and capabilities of Finance team members.
- Assist country managers in Southeast Asia and Australia in achieving growth objectives and addressing business challenges.
- Ensure the seamless integration of new business units into existing entities, encompassing financial reporting, business processes, ERP system setup, and support.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a degree in finance/accounting or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant combined experience in accounting and finance.
- CPA/CA/CMA certification is considered a strong advantage.
- Preferred experience with regional job coverage and knowledge of datacenter or real estate operations.
- Essential proficiency in US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and experience with SOX compliance.
- An AICPA certification will be preferred. Otherwise, having the experience working in a NASDAQ Listed organization will be desirable as well.
- Demonstrated success in leading finance functions within a multi-business unit environment.
- Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders across various business units and cultural backgrounds.
