Our client is a leading ship leasing company, committed to delivering innovative financing solutions within the maritime industry. As they continue to expand their operations and streamline financial processes, they are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller to join the team and play a key role in shaping the future of their finance function.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the finance and accounting functions of the business.
  • Coordinate with the Cyprus-based accounting team for back-office financial support and ensure a smooth transition of these functions to Singapore.
  • Establish and implement accounting systems, processes, and controls within the business.
  • Lead the recruitment and management of the finance team in Singapore.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure alignment of financial strategies with overall business goals.
What We\'re Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller with a strong background in financial management and accounting.
  • Experience dealing with loan or finance accounting is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in establishing accounting systems and processes, with a track record of building finance functions from the ground up.
  • Knowledge of the shipping sector is beneficial but not required.
  • Singaporean national preferred.
  • Based in Singapore with minimal travel requirements (1-2 trips per year to Cyprus).
