Department Overview: Fixed Income Electronic Trading is part of the Fixed Income Technology Solutions group responsible for delivering: Pricing of Fixed Income cash securities Distribution of Fixed Income securities to market Dealer-to-Dealer order execution solutions Dealer-to-Client quoting solutions Automated and algorithmic trading capabilities Cash risk calculation Sales technology Trade management services Business intelligence : As part of the Global Fixed Income Electronic Trading team, the Fixed Income eTrading developer will: Develop eTrading applications to support the Fixed Income rates and credit businesses across cash and derivatives globally Design, develop and maintain solutions consistent with project objectives that maximize system availability and performance Work closely with other team members to ensure consistency in coding standards and approaches Be responsible for leading technical aspects of projects from inception through to deployment Provide detailed development estimates as well as weekly status reporting Ensure that solutions adhere to development best practices and architectural principles Lead code reviews Work directly with the trading desks on requirements Job Requirements: Key skills: Preferably minimum 5 years of relevant experience Expert Java Developer -Enterprise Integration Patterns -Design Patterns -Strong concurrency, networking, algorithms and data structures knowledge -Detailed low level Java knowledge Strong knowledge of source control software (preferably Git, Integrity) Familiarity with software change controls applicable to the banking industry Familiarity with continuous integration tools (preferably Teamcity, Jenkins) Familiarity with dependency management (preferably Nexus, Maven, Gradle) Familiarity with code review tools (preferably Crucible) Shell scripting Knowledge of SQL server databases Knowledge of NoSQL databases Knowledge of (big) data engineering, data science and interpretation Nice to haves: Continuous Delivery concepts (deployment pipelines, etc) DevOps concepts Python Experience building trading algorithms in Fixed Income Ability to work directly with traders on gathering requirements Experience configuring and developing against the ION Marketview platform Strong Front Office Fixed Income Electronic Trading knowledge (5+ years, rates and credit across cash and derivatives businesses) Inclusiveness: At TD, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees and customers feel valued, respected and supported.
