• Responsible for overseeing the daily management of vessels assigned to them.
• Ensuring that vessels receive continuous operational and technical support.
• Conducting inspections of vessels and preparing inspection reports for those under their care.
• Maintaining a steadfast commitment to safety in all vessel operations.
• Developing financial budgets for vessel maintenance, repairs, modifications, and dry-dockings.
• Taking responsibility for controlling costs within the ship management budget and providing explanations for significant budget deviations for assigned vessels.
• Planning and coordinating dry-docking procedures for vessels under Fleet operations responsibility and as directed.
• Ensuring adherence to all relevant international and local regulations and the proper maintenance of vessel certifications and surveys to meet class, flag, and international requirements.
• Monitoring the performance of vessels within their purview and arranging for corrective actions when necessary.
• Conducting performance evaluations for Masters and Chief Engineers serving on board vessels within their responsibility.
• Maintaining close communication with Liner Operations as necessary regarding various aspects of vessel management.
• In performing these duties, the Superintendent\xe2\x80\x99s primary goals are to deliver the most effective and efficient ship management service in full alignment with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s objectives and work culture.

• Hold a Marine Engineering education and have experience as a Senior Marine Engineer.
• Possess previous experience as a Technical Superintendent managing Oil Tankers, which is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently with diverse teams both onshore and onboard.
• Approach their work with diligence and organization, understanding the importance of cost-effectiveness.
• Demonstrate enhanced problem-solving skills and a willingness to address challenges with innovative solutions while maximizing available resources.
