The objective of this role is to deliver per plan with maximum utilization of resources and in line with Lean principles, HSE policies and Ergonomic requirements while ensuring 'hands-on' approach coupled with high levels of 'change energy' to motivate the teams towards change implementation continuously.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operations of the section and lead a team of skilled technicians.
  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building and delivery through daily meetings and effective communications.
  • Work actively to address issues, develop and engage the workforce that is responsive to production requirements and change in order to achieve goals.
  • Establish work schedules by taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities.
  • Responsible for meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as set by the Managers in accordance with Policy Deployment objectives.
  • Lead activities in Excellence Through Quality (ETQ) and Eight Disciplines (8D) problem solving to identify root cause & implement preventive action in quality escapes.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities by utilizing Lean-Sigma tools (5S, Kaizen events, eliminating 7 wastes, etc.) and adhering to HSE policies & Ergonomics requirements.
  • Champion compliance to the Airworthiness regulations by following work procedures.
  • Effective management of resources, including managing absenteeism and overtime planning, skills matrix etc.
  • Ensure employees, are trained to right level of competency.
  • Ensure Gold-Level safety culture is maintained and all requirements are met.
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical or other relevant discipline from local recognized universities.
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in production, operations or manufacturing with supervisory role.
  • Ability to anticipate future challenges and provide solutions to resolve issues.
  • Lean manufacturing or repair experience with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proven leadership skills to motivate teams to achieve business goals.
  • Good communication skills throughout all levels of the Value Stream.
  • Positive attitude with ability to adopt 'hands-on' approach when required.
