ROLE AND DEPARTMENT FP&A Analyst is a co-pilot role within the Asia Finance function. The individual would be closely partnering with the finance team and the multi- functional team spread across the region. The incumbent will get exposure to working across functions and markets in an exciting and fast paced environment. This role will assist with all end-to-end planning, reporting and analysis activities for the Asia Cluster to deliver a high standard of reporting and analytical support to the business. Support includes financial, business analysis, presentation, and projects as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Financial reporting and analysis a. Help in management reporting processes and the preparation. Development of reports including monthly financials, variance analysis, revenue and profit analysis, A&CP analysis, brand/ customer profitability etc. b. Prepare reports and tools to assess and analyse monthly and quarterly business performance c. Ensure timely, quality, complete and consistent in reporting, in particular to the Monthly Business Update (MBU), Weekly Flash updates, etc. d. Work with market finance team in interrogating results versus plan, forecasts, and latest outlook to ensure financial commitments are delivered.
2) Budgeting and forecasting a. Assist in Asia Pacific\xe2\x80\x99s end to end planning cycle: AOP, bi-annual forecast, monthly outlook, weekly sales, and 3-Year strategic plan b. Prepare and provide meaningful financial management information and reports including but not limited to: i. Weekly sales update ii. Monthly Outlook review iii. AOP/ Forecast review and sign-off iv. Daily sales c. Provide advanced modelling and analysis of data and reports as required by key stakeholders across the business including the Marketing Category teams, Business development and Corporate
3) Finance Business partnering a. Liaise with marketing and supply chain team on a regular basis for reporting and analysis matters. b. Participate and lead various review and analysis to drive business performance. c. Develop good rapport and working relationship with other functions and markets. Gain sound understanding on marketing / supply chain 101 to better add value in the role.
4) Presentations and ad-hoc analysis a. Assist in presentation for monthly/ quarterly management presentations, AOP, Forecast, Strat Plan, Outlook presentation, and ad-hoc presentation. b. Consolidation and analysis of market input on financial and statistical data for reporting and presentation. c. Lead and/or participate in ad-hoc projects as required.
5) Capex Process a. Coordinate budget process for Marketing Furniture and PPE for Asia b. Monitoring & Planning of Marketing costs and CAPEX c. Coordinate with market VM/ Finance team to ensure timely system update to reflect latest and accurate CAPEX plan. d. Work with IT team to help in operational / IT issues relating to CAPEX request and approval in system e. Gradually grow to subject matter expert
6) Process Improvement a. Adopt any new system (e.g. PowerBI) for potential automation opportunity, and foster the knowledge transfer within the broader finance community b. Maintain and update routine templates, look into areas for process improvement and streamline c.
