Description
This is a leading Commodities Trading Group with an impressive portfolio of assets and commodities trading book size. To support the growth ambitions of the freight portfolio, there is now an exciting opportunity for Freight Business Controller to join a team of high caliber accounting and finance professionals based in Singapore.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Global Head of Controlling and Regional Head of Finance, the Freight Business Controller will manage all financial reporting matters including budgeting, forecasting, relating to the Freight portfolio. The Freight Business Controller will serve as the primary finance business partner for freight trading and commercial. Performing deep-dive and analysis, the Business Controller will identify trends, facilitate decisions and initiate actions for the freight management team. The Controller will also assist in preparing and facilitating monthly business review meetings, quarterly operations alignment meetings with the regions and the group, quarterly management workshops among others. He/ She will also be initiating, leading and managing transformational and cross-functional initiatives that will impact the freight finance organization and/or across the group.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with a degree in Accountancy, Business or Finance, 7 to 10 years\' experience within business controlling in commodities trading. Those with experience supporting freight stakeholders within commodities or shipping industries will have a distinct advantage. You will be described as meticulous, operationally hands-on and a self-starter who is also a strategic thinker. Due to the need to engage with significant groups of stakeholders based in North Asia, fluency in Mandarin is essential.
