Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to Branch Manager
• Will need to lead a team of ocean freight personnel
• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the ocean freight department and resolve any operational-related problem.
• Lead and supervise the Ocean operation team, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with shipping lines, port operators, and other key stakeholders.
• Negotiate pricing, services and terms with the approved vendors and co-loaders, to max monthly Ocean GP.
• Coordinate and negotiate with other inter-company oversea stations.
• Participate in existing and new RFQ or any bidding projects when need.
• Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting ocean freight operations.
• Prepare reports and analyses on department performance for upper management.
• Ensure compliance with all international trade and shipping regulations.
• Support Ocean Business Development and Trade Lane Management.

Requirement:

• Tertiary Education, preferably with freight forwarding (FCL/LCL) experience.
• Minimum 10 years work-related experience in Ocean Freight Procurement.
• Experience in Tariff management and Tender management
