They plan, implement and control the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements.About the role The Category Planning Manager will report to the Category Lead and oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of the supply chain (both demand and supply planning) in order to optimise the Dyson supply chain for forecast accuracy, customer service, and inventory across all operating units worldwide within the Category. As part of this role, you will be the first point of contact to the Regional Supply Chain organisations worldwide, partner with the global Commercial and Finance departments and oversee the operational execution of the production and logistics. Key accountabilities: Manage end-to-end supply chain planning for the Category, to align with market demands and production capabilities. Manage the alignment between the Category and the Market sales plans with regards to new product introductions, Product Life Cycle management, Cost-to-Serve and Route-to-Market. Balancing of Category and Market requirements in the best interest of Dyson as a whole. Implement the supply chain planning strategy for the organisation and improve mechanisms needed to create solutions and inventory build plans to handle forecast demand plan. Execute tactical business decisions in close cooperation with the Category and manufacturing organisation regarding supply allocation, inventory targets and order fulfilment. Monitor and drive the effectiveness and efficiency of demand/supply plans in terms of accuracy, timeliness, coordination and communication, accomplished through facilitation and alignment with the Global IBP process. About you Tertiary qualifications with at least 8 years experience in a supply chain planning function. Demonstrated experience in a role intended to bridge Sales and Operations. (S&OE, S&OP, IBP, etc) Background in demand and supply planning in consumer goods or electronics manufacturer is preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation and persuasion skills IBP/S&OP knowledge and working experience Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to constraints and respond constructively to new demands and challenges. Ability to communicate and engage Senior Leadership across the organization Awareness of global markets and complex supply chain processes.
