You are required to have your hands on the pulse of gaming, esports and social media (content, trends and influencers) to ensure Razer stays in the forefront of its social media game.The candidate needs to have a strategic approach to social and have the ability to translate plans into timely execution. This role will have management responsibilities, such as mentoring and developing junior team members to be effective community and social media managers.Given a global nature of the position, this role may be required to work evenings, weekends and odd hours to ensure successful execution of its community efforts. This is a contraction position with potential of a full time conversion.

  • Drive Razer\xe2\x80\x99s global social media strategy (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok and more) to grow the engagement and size of these channels exponentially
  • Be the thought-leader and mentor to junior community managers to evolve Razer\xe2\x80\x99s approach to social media and to identify relevant engagement and content opportunities, along with exploring emerging social media platforms and trends
  • Conceptualizing, planning and executing Razer\xe2\x80\x99s community campaigns and programs while working closely with content and influencer marketing counterparts globally
  • Align community activation efforts closely with the greater organization through regular engagement with Global Business Units and Regions on business priorities and requirements
  • Be a custodian of Razer\xe2\x80\x99s social media persona and rules of engagement
  • Regularly review social media performance and insights to keep the business and marketing organization up to date with market/industry trends and initiatives to ensure our initiatives are relevant and competitive.
  • Identify and execute on unique opportunities for social engagement as they arise
Pre-Requisites :
  • Bachelor\'s degree in relevant discipline such as Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or PR, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5-6 years of experience in community management or social media marketing
  • Language Skills: Fluent English is a must and (favorably) an additional second language
  • Understanding of social media and livestreaming best practices, online marketing, and engagement techniques
  • Have a good eye for creative content, and the ability to spot emerging social trends and identify gaming/pop-cultural references.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on generating business results
  • Ability to work with global teams across multiple time zones and cultures
  • Must be a gamer.
Good-to-have(s):
  • Experience in building and managing social media (including content production) accounts for a brand
  • Experience managing external agencies and vendors.
