The Role Responsibilities

Purpose of the role

The Global Head, HR Strategic Change is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of global HR strategic initiatives that align with the organization\'s overall business objectives and goals. As a member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), the role holder will play a critical role in ensuring the HR function is delivering its ambitious agenda globally.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Drive HR and digital transformation strategic initiatives across the Group ensuring these are aligned to the Group strategic agenda and to the Global HR overarching strategic agenda.
  • Maintain constant collaboration and engagement with other HR Centres of Excellence, ensuring that our ways of working and operating model continue to drive high levels of experience for our colleagues in a way that combines the best of the digital-human interface.
  • Provide a world class, customer experience led strategic HR service to our organisation that will meet the need of our business and our employees.
  • Monitor and analyse global HR trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead the ongoing refresh of our People Strategy in partnership with other senior HR leaders ensuring the achievement of SCB\'s strategic and business priorities and Ways of Working (WoW) agendas.
  • Establish relationships with external vendors to support thought leadership, benchmarking and experiences to inform strategic change delivery and build digital and change capability across HR.
  • Ensure close collaboration with key internal HR and Group wide stakeholders to align on priorities, expectations, connections and dependencies.
  • Write strategic papers for our Group Management Team and our HR Management Team on our HR priorities and the progress of global HR initiatives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of a new experience focused HR Target Operating Model (HR TOM) globally, collaborating with key stakeholders across HR.
  • Further enhance our efficient and effective delivery of strategic change by leading the new Ways of Working (WoW) and the transition to agile within the HR function.
  • Support HR Headcount and Budget globally in collaboration with HR for HR and HR CFO.
  • Lead the RoTE initiative and the Headcount strategy for HR.
Business
  • Contribute to the monitoring of external perspective to bring in innovative ideas and benchmark ourselves with progressive companies across sectors to drive greater impact for our clients.
  • Support relationships building and management of vendors when required.

  • Develop and implement global HR processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the organization\'s global workforce.
People & Talent
  • Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm.
  • Delivers a \'one team\' culture across TTO, HR and 3rd party resources. Sets the standard for and delivers a positive working culture across a new organisation in a high pressure and complex environment
  • Promote and embed the valued behaviours into the ways of working of the entire programmes resource base.
  • Provide effective leadership to the team, communicate the vision and build commitment and energy to focus on key priorities
  • Lead the way on culture and values to set the appropriate tone across the team and ensure people are developed, recognised and rewarded appropriately
Risk Management
  • Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters.
Governance
  • Lead the PMO and change office including investment financials, transformation portfolio governance including robust risk identification and management, Strategic Investment Review Forum (SIRF), and change request management.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Comply with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and practices as defined by internal and external requirements.
  • Assess requirements and take accountability for ensuring all regulatory requirements related to the introduction of key cloud products and supporting business processes are met in a timely fashion, including data residency, data privacy, outsourcing arrangements and legal requirement
  • Understand and ensure compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines including those governing securities activities, company law, anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group\'s policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Embed the Group\'s Values and Group Code of Conduct to ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics. Comply with relevant policies, processes and regulations, as part of the culture.

Other Responsibilities
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Business or Functional policies and procedures
Our Ideal Candidate
  • +15 years of experience working within Human Resources in the financial industry preferable
  • Experience of working within Big Four consultancy environment
  • Have worked in an international, dynamic organisation
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking, with operational detail where required to assure quality and problem solve
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to adapt to different styles according to target audience.
  • Demonstrated competency in decision making and problem solving; resource management; conflict management; leadership; and planning, prioritising and goal setting.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written and presentation.
  • A proven track record leading successful projects. Deep understanding of ePMO processes and requirements
  • Strong understanding of complex programmes financials and SCB financial processes
  • Experience of working with 3rd party vendors, managing scope and delivery
  • Evidence of prior experience managing and influencing stakeholders at Executive/Board level and providing high quality presentations and updates
  • MS Project skills
  • Advanced MS Office Suite Skills including SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders, internal resources and 3rd parties
