Role Overview

The successful candidate is equal parts a visionary, a leader, and an executor who will nurture a learning culture as well as drive the team to develop the next generation of creative and agile supply strategies. The candidate also has an acute awareness of geopolitical and market conditions and know when to use the information to drive further value for FMC. You are also responsible for the growth and development, of 4 direct reports and their respective teams, largely located in the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions. This role requires 20-30% international travel.

The Global Procurement Director, AIs and Intermediates role is based in Singapore and reports to the VP, Procurement, Logistics and Facilities. This position oversees the team responsible for the category management of Active Ingredients, Intermediates, Specialty Chemicals, and New Products Introduction, totaling approximately $2 billion dollars in annual spend. These categories are managed through contract manufacturing agreements and 3rd party purchases.

Key Role Responsibilities

This is an environment for leaders, and this is a highly visible role. There will be constant change and high expectations. We are seeking a candidate that can hit the ground running and make a visible impact within a short period of time. You can anticipate the following key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Category Management team to develop sophisticated supply strategies
  • Accountable for the Cost of Goods Sold of the Procurement categories under responsibility
  • Responsible for leading the necessary initiatives to deliver on the annual financial commitments (EBIT, working capital, COGS, etc\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Manage the supply and financials through the weekly and monthly cycles, concluding with insightful report-outs at the eSOP
  • Drive progress towards the supply de-risk initiative commitments, ultimately ensuring FMC has a diversified geographical footprint
  • Drive further connection and alignment between the Procurement and Commercial strategies
  • Ensure the Corporate Sustainability targets and ambitions are incorporated in the category strategies
  • Ensure the work is performed according to our core values and in compliance with laws and regulations
  • Participate in the Procurement, Logistics and Facilities Leadership Team, and in the Asia Pacific Operating Committee Team
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations and Tech Center to deliver cross-functional and holistic strategies
Skillsets Required:
  • Functional / Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Procurement processes and their integration points to Supply Chain, Operations and Finance to lead a center led global team
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Experience interacting with C-Suite
