Candidate Specification

About You:

  • Electrical Engineering degree, from a University recognised by the PEB for future registration as a Professional Engineer.
  • Experience with, or a willingness to learn computer modelling techniques/tools, e.g., Revit, ETAP, VipCoda, ProDesign, Dialux, etc.
  • Strong interest in the built environment industry and pursuing electrical engineering as a career.
  • Self-motivated, analytical with a learning mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.
  • Excellent written communication with great attention to detail.
  • Team player with the ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
  • A digital aptitude, strong learning mindset and interest to commit to driving social and sustainable outcomes in all that we do.
  • Collaborative, open, and constructive approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A team player who is enthusiastic, driven and committed.

Mott MacDonald Singapore is currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer (Graduate) to work in our Built Environment Sector. Within this role you will support the detailed design of electrical engineering and calculations in the building services and MEP space, technical reporting, and support engineering tasks across a wide range of award-winning built environment projects. These projects include Changi Airport Terminal 5, civic and institutional projects, commercial and mixed-use developments. We are dedicated to delivering large infrastructure projects, to make a positive change for those who need it most.

As part of the role, key responsibilities will include:
  • Be involved in the planning, design and specification of electrical engineering, including lighting, small power, power distribution, lightning protection, etc.
  • Responsible for the preparation of calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Apply computer modelling techniques/tools in analysis and design.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and commissioning witnessing.
  • Consult with authorities, utility supply companies and equipment manufacturers
  • Attend design meetings, site meetings and other project related meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders and grow your client facing skills.
