Job Description





Job Title Growth Account Manager, Merchant Payments Purpose of the role Provide Account Management activities to Top/Regional Airlines and other Travel Merchant accounts headquartered in Americas. Commercial responsible of the P&L of these accounts, by driving volume through the contracted agreement. Analyze and execute action plans to accelerate merchant adoption and solution use. Proactive support to the account, including exposure to : 1- Latest Trends. 2- Latest Products Evolutions. 3- Growth/Upsell/CrossSell opportunities. 4- Amadeus Merchant Payments Management when applicable. Define a communication plan including account reviews and QBR and support with specific campaigns to increase volume and associated revenues. Prepare and present sales offers covering customer needs and customer life cycle. A successful Account Manager will ultimately play a role in their customers differentiation from their competitors in the Merchants Payments arena. They will understand the strategic business needs of the customer to propose a consultative approach to help us maximize revenue, adoption and customer satisfaction. Main responsibilities P&L Management .

  • Making sure the gross revenues and net revenues of the accounts in charge are in line or above Budget, and in line with the contracted volumes
100% Retention and customer satisfaction
  • Work with all the Stakeholders in the account to make sure they remain loyal to Amadeus . Identify risks early, elaborate remediation plans and execute them as soon as possible
Upselling & Cross-selling
  • Identify new upsell or cross sell opportunities such as: 1- Payments Gateway offering / 2- Opening new countries or channels (Digital, NDC, etc..) / 3- New Payments Products for merchants (Chargebacks management, BNPL, Pay In & Out) / 4- Fx Services / 5- drive new business through providers
Exposure to Trends & Trusted Advisor
  • Early exposure to the accounts in charge to the latest information on: 1- Fintech trends / 2- Merchant Payments trends / 3- Travel Technology Trends / 4- Amadeus Payments Product Evolution / 5- Changes in Competitive Environment and payments regulation (PSD, Interchange etc.).
  • A successful Account Manager will also act as a Trusted Advisor to the accounts in charge.
Resolution of items / issues
  • Fast resolution of important issues or claims for the customer related to customer life cycle.
  • The role requires close cooperation with Customer Care, Delivery & Implementation, Adoption Stream, Product and Partners involved.
Education University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar. Masters degree an advantage. Relevant work experience
  • Commercial experience managing complex multinational and regional accounts.
  • Experience in Travel Technology, ideally in a GDS.
  • Experience in Payments / Fintech, ideally in Merchant Payments.
Business understanding
  • Good understanding of payment industry and its players
  • Good understanding of Airlines in particular, Travel Agencies and Hotels and their distribution channels
  • Comfortable with Technology and capable of working and influencing Product teams.
