This is a dynamic role in a fast-paced and complex region. This role will have responsibility for all of IM ASPAC as well as South East Asia (SEA) cross-sector.As Regional Sector Leader, this position assures compliance with HCC laws, regulations and industry standards related to the promotion and marketing of prescription drugs, interactions with health care professionals and/or government officials, including, as applicable to the business unit, FCPA and other anti-corruption laws, off-label promotion, US anti-kickback and false claims statutes, compliance with corporate integrity agreements, deferred prosecution agreements or other settlements.This key position assures the independence and visibility of our compliance activities, reinforces the message that HCC is a company priority and coordinates the resources needed to assure implementation of an effective compliance program within business units and across the group, and supports the Company Group Chairman for ASPAC and the Regional Leadership Team. The position also coordinates with the regional HCC teams and Regional Leads to ensure line of sight to relevant regional issues, in coordination with the other members of the IM HCC Leadership Team and the overall HCC organization. This individual oversees the implementation of the compliance programs of all companies within the Region, and will collaborate closely and coordinate with other HCC Officers across the IM sector. As a key member of the IM HCC Leadership team, this role will also take the lead on various cross-IM projects and support talent across the organization.This role reports to the VP HCC, IM Sector. She/ he will be responsible for talent acquisition, coaching and talent development at all levels of the organization. Will ensure the Compliance Program effectively corrects, prevents and detects violation of law, regulations, policies, and if necessary implements appropriate corrective action and will build partnerships with senior management to ensure that they maintain an appropriate culture of compliance and drive a sustainable compliance program. The successful individual will regularly review the Compliance Program and will recommend appropriate revisions and modifications. She/ he will advise the senior management and compliance leadership team of potential compliance risk areas and recommend implementation of appropriate action plans and will coordinate resources to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the Compliance Programs. She/he will ensure that the Compliance Program\'s internal controls are capable of preventing and detecting significant instances or patterns of fraud and abuse and will ensure Company accountability for compliance by overseeing, follow-up and resolution to investigations generated by the Program, including investigations initiated for-cause, those based on anonymous reports of potential misconduct or otherwise as directed by legal counsel. Results of investigations are reviewed with appropriate management and the law department including the development of corrective action plans where appropriate. Further, this individual will oversee the implementation of appropriate testing and monitoring programs and tracking mechanisms. In consultation with business leadership, H.R., and the appropriate members of the law department, helps to ensure that there is a mechanism in place for disciplining instances of non-compliance (including the failure to prevent, detect, or report any non-compliance), appropriate to the nature and extent of the deviation, and ensure consistency in the application of disciplinary action.This individual will take an active role in shaping the external environment, including leading industry association activity, interacting with government agencies and coordinating internal efforts with Law Department and Government Affairs colleagues.This is not an exhaustive, comprehensive listing of job functions. Manages and provides direction to HCC staff members participating on the company specific management boards. Interacts with attorneys in the J&J Law Department, attorney on the company board, HCC Global Leadership team members, and other HCC officers. Interacts as appropriate with customers and other HCC professionals at customer organizations or industry associations and with federal and state agency and government officials, as needed.A minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree is required, an advanced degree would be preferred. A minimum of 10 years of business experience required. Experience with people management responsibilities required, as well as a demonstrated track record of developing talent. A minimum of 5 years experience and demonstrated leadership in a Compliance or relevant related function preferred. Knowledge of the Medical Device and/ or Pharmaceutical industry sales and marketing practices is required.This position will require a demonstrated working knowledge of: HCC laws, FCPA and/ or other relevant anti-corruption laws; FDA regulatory promotional practices; and/or financial or auditing practices. Knowledge about pricing, government contracting, privacy laws and /or sales and marketing management experience a plus. Knowledge about industry associations and related policies preferred.Experience with FDA advertising and promotional practices/ regulations for pharmaceutical / medical device products, commercial aspects of marketing of products, sales, financial, marketing or related business functions preferred. Experience with development of appropriate compliance systems such as financial, quality assurance, or other compliance systems desired. Compliance experience in Regulatory, QA, Health Care Compliance, Law Department or Finance preferred. Experience with overseeing the development and presentation of appropriate employee education and training programs including formal training and periodic education-related communications.This position will require exceptional written and verbal communications skills, as well as a proven track record of creating change. Ability to work well between functions and across all levels of the business and effective negotiating skills are essential.This position may require up to 25% travel.
