The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • The role holder has to develop an understanding of the market opportunities, implement strategies and bring communications and marketing expertise to deliver business objectives that are aligned with the markets\xe2\x80\x99 corporate plan, Group Corporate Affairs and Brand and Marketing strategy and brand guidelines.
  • Contribute to overall Corporate Affairs and Brand & Marketing Asia visions/priorities for Asean markets, with primary responsibility for Singapore franchise.
  • Work with the functions\xe2\x80\x99 country/cluster Heads and Management Teams to manage and implement key projects and strategy changes across the Bank
Business
  • Marketing Singapore - Work in partnership with CPBB Head Singapore, Group CPBB marketing head and business stakeholders to ensure all segment and product campaigns have a business focus aligned to full year strategic priorities.
  • Grow affluent brand awareness and consideration through brand campaigns and segment/ product campaigns.
  • Execute consistent CCIB marketing campaigns to reinforce the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s branding across the different business segments in Singapore. Provide oversight to Asean markets to ensure consistency in partnership with stakeholders
  • Contribute to overall Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing vision/priorities as a member of the Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing Asia top team
  • Deliver an integrated communications and marketing strategy that drives the business strategy, brand promise and strategic intent of Singapore. Leveraging various communication channels to best deliver to the intended audiences
Processes
  • Strategise and deliver quality marketing activities to drive exceptional client experiences utilising the right media assets and platforms with optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategise and deliver quality sponsorship and community investment initiatives to augment the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s presence in the markets and drive commercial activation (corporate & retail businesses)
People & Talent
  • Develop the team to build capability and ensure delivery of the function\xe2\x80\x99s objectives
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing development of people
  • Employ, engage and retain talent, with succession planning for critical roles
Governance
  • Manage resources to budget and implementation of CABM comms and marketing plans.
  • Lead for delivering governance, issues and risk (operational and reputational) for CABM in Singapore and oversee the governance standards across Asean markets (MY, VN, TH & Rep Offices).
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Singapore CMT members
  • CABM Heads in Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia and their CEOs. Rep offices (Cambodia, Laos & Myanmar reps)
  • Global Head, CPBB CABM, Asia Head of Communications and Global Head of CCIB CABM

  • Delegated authority defined by SCB Group or SCB subsidiaries and Regulators.

  • Senior stakeholder influencing and engagement skills.
  • Strong track record of communications experience preferably gained in a global or mulit-national environment.
  • Strong track record of managing teams across diverse markets
  • Experience across digital platforms and background in communication channels and digital platforms.
  • Strategic advocacy and communications planning skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal and presentational skills.
  • Outstanding written communications skills.
  • Strong understanding of operational aspects of the function.
  • Enthused and experienced in training/ mentoring across a variety of different cultures.
  • Must be capable of working in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to act as a thought leader internally and externally throughout the organisation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate communications discipline.
