Job Description


The Office of Campus Housing (OCH) serves to make NTU, the university with the best-in-class campus for learning, working, and living. OCH has a mission to provide optimal on-campus living environment for students and faculty to excel in learning, research, teaching and other NTU related work. It is responsible for student and faculty housing on campus, the sports and recreational facilities, and its related services.

We are looking for individuals who have a strong passion and drive to transform our delivery and services to residents of the University\xe2\x80\x99s student and faculty housing, and athletes and users of sports & recreation facilities on campus. We are seeking to hire an experienced strategic and visionary leader, planner and implementer to be our Head, Campus Living Strategies Unit in OCH.

If you have good track records in strategic planning & implementation, business analysis or related roles and have extensive experience in managerial position, you may be the one whom we are looking for. Having an experience in managing student hostels, staff housing or hospitality services would be advantageous for this role.

The incumbent is required to:

Conceptualise, plan, develop and implement clear strategies (including short-, mid- and long-term plans) for NTU on-campus accommodation. This will include a comprehensive resource analysis on NTU long-term on-campus accommodation sustainability and manpower planning & optimisation.

Establish explicit performance measurements (e.g., KPIs and / or metrics) to monitor and evaluate progress of implementation

Monitor and evaluate progress against performance measures, which includes identifying areas for improvement and recommendation of adjustments to action plans based on performance data

Analyse and propose improvement to OCH staffing model for optimisation and business requirements, including succession planning and establishing talent pipelines

Collaborate with stakeholders, as well as communicate and rally support for initiatives / action plans

Oversee the optimisation of Housing Management System (HMS), ensuring quality and positive applicant and resident experience with HMS as well as the availability, smooth performance and security of HMS

The job holder is expected to possess the following qualifications, attributes, experience, skills, and competencies:

University degree, preferably Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration and related fields

Proven experience in strategic planning & implementation, business analysis or related roles. Work experience in hospitality, customer-oriented or customer service sectors, especially hotel, hostel or related industry would be advantageous.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think strategically and critically

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Strong project management skills, with ability to prioritise tasks, manage timelines and allocate resources effectively

Resourceful and ability to manage deliverables under tight timelines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex matters to diverse audiences

Capable of working collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Able to rally support from diverse stakeholders

Able to adapt to change quickly and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic work environment

Proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies
