The Role Responsibilities Strategy As a leader in the Digital Asset CoE the Head of Strategy, Investment and enablement will support the Global Head, Digital Assets and senior leaders across the group engage ensure alignment with the group&rsquos stated Digital Asset Strategy. This leader will own and develop Digital Asset content for the group across the key issues in Digital Assets including SC&rsquos role in Digital Assets, Cryptocurrencies, Stablecoins, CBDCs, DeFi, Financial Crime, Sustainability and Technology. This role will develop the strategy for enabling SC as a Digital Asset organisation through talent acquisition, partnerships, investment, and education. This role will work with SC Ventures and Group Corporate Development on investments relating to Digital Assets to ensure strategic alignment and provide insight on potential investment targets. This role will also be responsible for directly supporting regional and country leadership teams on the Digital Asset agenda. Specifically supporting in the development of regional Digital Asset strategy across CPBB, CCIB and SC Ventures for Africa and the Middle East region. Business Understand the Digital Asset market globally and be able to identify opportunities for Standard Chartered to develop new revenue streams Foster relationships with industry players to support this. Establish the strategic roadmap for engagement with Industry associations on Digital Assets and Coordinate across the group to ensure the appropriate representation by group experts in these discussions. Work across business lines to understand commercial priorities and synergies across the group. Work across business and ventures to develop content that builds Standard Chartered&rsquos brand and build commercial momentum. Act as a subject matter expert for the leadership team in Africa the Middle East in identifying and prioritising the commercial opportunity for Digital Assets for the region. Processes Simplify complicated ideas into actionable, measurable pieces and communicate those ideas to key stakeholders to generate buy-in Drive support and collaboration for projects at all levels (senior and junior to you) and bring others to action Develop processes in relation to strategy, investment, and enablement. For example, for regular review of public statements, the measurement of training completion and other processes to support Standard Chartered as a Digital Asset enabled bank. Collaborate with Technology and Operations functions to ensure appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructure are in place to facilitate the execution of the Digital Asset strategy People and Talent Set an example across the group not only with respect to the Group Valued behaviours but also in terms of Digital Asset knowledge and engagement to reinforce a culture of excellence in Digital Assets. Lead the growth of the Digital Asset community across the group and maximise the benefit of the Digital Asset virtual CoE through alignment across the group including supporting businesses and functions with talent acquisition. Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations, work in collaboration with risk and control partners. Adherence to code of conduct prescribed by relevant authorities Work with the AME leadership team by advising on the acquisition, retention, and development of talent in the region. Risk Management Effectively manage industry engagement globally and group content on Digital Asset Risk through collaboration with the DA Risk team and relevant PRTs. Adhere to all Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others. Commitment to Group Code of Conduct and act as a role model for Conduct Timely completion of all mandatory e-learning, attestations, compliance requirements and requests for information. Governance Establish the appropriate governance for engagement in industry bodies, conferences, and forums with respect to Digital Assets. Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. Willingness to &lsquospeak up' in the event of any realised or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner. Regulatory & Business Conduct Engage with regulators, regulatory bodies and policy makers as required in support of the group approach to Digital Assets and the participation in industry debate relating to the regulation of Digital Assets. Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group&rsquos Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. GPRA Our Ideal Candidate 8+ years of overall experience with 3+ years in Fintech or Crypto industry with the market knowledge of Digital Assets, Crypto and Web3. Demonstrated experience with Venture Capital including fund raising, investing or establish ventures. Demonstrable experience in Digital Asset events and industry content and dialogue including experience with media. Experience in taking interviews and hosting/participating in panels considered favourably. Exceptional business writing skillisrequired especially in relation to client and regulatory communication.
