A*GA is looking for a motivated Head (Data Analysis and Management) who is proactive and equipped with good leadership skills and strong analytical thinking skills to support A*GA?s vision and mission. It is essential that he/she is also a team player and can communicate effectively with his/her leaders, colleagues and stakeholders.

The Head is responsible for the analysis and management of data in A*GA. He/she will conduct analysis of data/information to support decision making in A*GA/A*STAR and submit periodic updates/reports A*GA/A*STAR?s leadership and senior management. To this end, he/she will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the assigned workstreams. The Head is also the custodian of the A*GA database comprising data/information and analysis reports related to Planning, scholarships and international awards, and is required to keep the relevant data/information updated in a timely manner.

Head (Data Analysis and Management) is required to:
Compile, verify and organise the data/information in A*GA such as those related to key departments in A*GA (e.g. Planning, Scholarships, International Awards, Scholars Deployment and Development) in a proper manner for ad hoc and/or periodic monitoring and management reporting
Analyse data and information for multi-year trend analysis and forward planning to inform decision making and support KPI reporting to A*GA/A*STAR leadership and internal stakeholders as well as external agencies such as MTI, National Research Foundation and MOE
Work closely and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Planning Directorate, Scholarship and International Awards department, NRF, etc) to complete the assigned workstreams
Conduct data cleansing and organise data to facilitate transfer of data between relevant IT and software systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), etc
Support digitalisation, process automation and transformation initiatives as well as knowledge management efforts in A*GA/A*STAR
Undertake ad hoc duties or projects assigned by his/her leaders and management (e.g. Deputy Chief Executive, Executive Director and Director)

Job Requirements

5 to 8 years of relevant working experience in either public sector or private companies
At least a degree in Data Science and Analytics or Statistics or Mathematics or Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent would be preferred
Good leadership skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver positive results
Strong analytical thinking skills
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Proficient in Microsoft applications, and relevant experience in using data analytics software tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc) and automation software tools (e.g. MS Power Automate) will be an advantage
Ability to work under tight timelines when required
