To achieve this, we have embarked on an ambitious digital transformation journey across our Private Banking and Intermediaries business to increase scalability and bring our client, front and back-office experience to the next level.

The Head of Enterprise Management APAC will be responsible for the Change the Business services and the management of the overall program/project portfolio of Region APAC. Together with partners from business and IT, the unit delivers improved client experience and operating efficiency to clients and internal stakeholders. Enterprise Management APAC is also responsible for the CtB governance and budgeting relating to Asia.

To support Julius Baer\xe2\x80\x99s transformation journey, the Head of Enterprise Management APAC will provide oversight and guidance to Asia-relevant initiatives for the bank\xe2\x80\x99s Agile Transformation, Global Chief Data Office, as well as initiatives from the Singapore-based innovation lab Launchpad.

Successful candidates are able to demonstrate a tangible track record and thorough understanding of driving change in Private Banking, are exposed to innovation, fintech & transformation trends in the industry, are experienced in agile ways of working and able to forge alliances with a multitude of stakeholders across departments, hierarchy levels and geographies. They are able to deal with ambiguity, drive for results, demonstrate managerial courage, build effective teams and possess good decision-making quality. They have demonstrated the ability to provide leadership in complex international organization with and without formal reporting lines.

The Head of Enterprise Management APAC will report locally (solid line) to the COO APAC and dotted to the Global Head of Enterprise Management in Zurich. The role involves close collaboration with various change, project, design and IT teams in Asia and Zurich.

As a Material Risk Personnel of the Bank (as defined under the Individual Accountability and Conduct policy), you have the authority to make decisions or conduct activities that can significantly impact the Bank\'s safety and soundness, or cause harm to a significant segment of the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s customers or other stakeholders. As a Material Risk Personnel, you are also to comply with the standards of conducts expected and satisfy the fitness and propriety on an on-going basis.

YOUR CHALLENGE

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

Delivery and Stakeholders

  • Responsible for the Asia-related CtB governance across the project portfolio. Track CtB budget for region Asia and moderate prioritization process across departments. Manage stakeholders across Front Office, Products, CRO, CFO, COO as well as IT by acting as a partner and trusted advisor
  • Lead the design of an actionable multi-year transformation roadmap for Asia. Lead business request process from initial idea to project request with defined scope, high-level solution and budget estimates
  • For local Asia projects: Manage and deliver change projects end-to-end from analysis/requirements gathering to solution design, testing, roll-out and change management
  • For globally-led projects: Provide oversight over the Asia-relevant delivery of globally run programs, to ensure fit-for-purpose for Asia, proper management of stakeholders, timelines and deliverables
  • Process Excellence: Lead the process excellence & documentation initiatives for Asia
  • Agile transformation: Provide oversight and guidance to agile transformation initiatives for Asia
  • Data: Provide oversight and guidance to initiatives relating to the global Chief Data Office for Asia
  • Define and analyse OKRs and KPIs to track the success of new solutions and products
People Management
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to team members in Asia, both with direct and indirect reporting lines. Identify and develop internal talent. Manage the performance and professional development of team members
  • Team: Create a motivating work environment. Foster continuous learning (on-the-job and by leveraging JB Academy offering). Implement the \xe2\x80\x9cOne COO\xe2\x80\x9d culture and the related core values
  • Agile: Partner with key stakeholders to drive cultural change towards innovation and agile ways of working

Regulatory Responsibilities, Risk Management
  • Collaborate with legal & compliance teams to assess regulatory considerations of proposed solutions

  • Ensure appropriate ethical and compliant behaviour within the area of responsibility by clear demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

YOUR PROFILE

Professional and Technical
  • University degree
  • 10-15 years of working experience in financial services industry, preferably Private Banking
  • Wealth management: comprehensive experience in financial services industry, ideally in private banking / wealth management
  • Multi-year experience in managing large, complex projects and programs. Track record of digital transformation projects (incl. cultural change management)
  • Strong leadership skills; track record of creating an engaging team environment
  • Good understanding of design thinking methodologies, business process design methodologies and process re-engineering
  • Experience in defining a vision and strategy for a digital solution, product or service; successfully managed the full product lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience of partnering with IT in a Scrum setup
  • Experience in Data / Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence, as well as Data Governance
  • Experience with Temenos product suite would be an advantage
