Job Description


What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?

  • Supervise operationally all Payment/Cash Management operations teams in the region.
  • Direct responsibility over daily operations of Singapore and Hong Kong Cash Middle Offices (PCMO).
  • Lead the definition and implementation of Regional Target Operation Model for Cash Management Operations aiming at strengthening the resilience and operational efficiency of Cash Management operations leveraging ISPL GPCO in India and the future platform in Manila.
  • Lead the efforts and all possible initiatives to constantly improve the STP rate in payments and Cash management operations
  • Make sure all operational procedures and permanent controls are well in place, harmonized and enforced across all entities (local and regional)
  • Review and validate/sponsor from Ops perspective initiatives launched by Process & Change team
  • Contribute and coordinate with IT teams onto new systems/features deployment impacting cash management while guaranteeing the proper execution of operations (e.g. MTS, STORM etc.)
  • Work closely with the global Payments & Cash Ops team and with Transaction Banking business in APAC to ensure alignment and consistency
  • In charge of the Regional APAC Alerts Management Level B1 team, ensuring escalated alerts are treated timely and in accordance to the Group\xe2\x80\x99s SHINE framework. Contribute to the improvements of the process and client service in coordination with Compliance
  • and Business. Contribute in the roll out of new processes and adoption of operational controls in line with updates or changes in Group Compliance/ Regulatory Requirements as it impacts Cash Management Operations and B1.
  • Bring direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework. Minimize operational failure, including but not exclusively the risk of fraud by helping to devise and by implementing adequate procedures and controls
  • Ensure appropriate escalation to management and/or permanent control (or Compliance as appropriate) as soon as a key issue is identified.
  • Anti\xe2\x80\x90Money Laundering / Financial Sanctions \xe2\x80\x9cAML/FS\xe2\x80\x9d related duties: Operations are an integral part of the control framework including for AML/FS topics. In that respect, in performing your role you are expected to ensure adherence to AML/FS\xe2\x80\x90related Group
  • Policies and execution of associated operational controls, and to promptly escalate any relevant matter for analysis and decision
  • Manage staff career progression, succession and backup plans
  • Ensure that headcount and direct cost evolve in line with the approved budgets, and constantly strive for cost optimization
