Job Description


Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • To work with Global Head of CCR to making processes-related to CCR efficient and fit for purpose for the future.
  • To ensure that a strong monitoring and control framework for counterparty limits, portfolio limits, and transactional requirements, is effectively implemented across the Traded Products within Financial Markets (FM) including Banking Book Bonds in Treasury Markets (TM), and for administering related governance and reporting, and improvement of Group / Regional Policies and Processes.
  • To manage the Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) Operational Risk Forum, including performing Annual RCSA, corresponding Mid-year Top-Down Review, and tracking of operational risk issues and events through remediation.
  • To ensure the timely and accurate automation and maintenance of Traded Risk MIS reports including the streamlining of operational processes through automated workflow solutions and process/procedure improvement.
Business
  • Engage FM and TM stakeholders during excess investigation to raise their awareness of adherence to CCR Standards including CCR Limits and Transactional Approval.
  • Partner with CCR Risk Managers and stakeholders (Settlements, CCR Models, FM IT) to enhance risking of CCR exposures including freeing up of Trading Limits for more business in Front Office, and the reduction of technical excesses and investigation with FO.
  • Engage with CCR Risk Managers and other FM stakeholders for inefficient processes and pain points, and work on solutions.
Processes
  • Oversight of pre-settlement/settlement/banking book bond risk monitoring & management, limit excess risk management, exposure investigation/analysis & reporting
  • Supervise onshore and offshore teams\' activities and provide training and development.
  • Support CCR Risk Managers in the analyses of trends and root-cause-factors behind daily CCR exposure movements.
  • Contribute to the FM strategic system initiatives and new products onboarding through UAT, issue identification and rectification including Trade Processing and Pre-Deal-Checking system enhancements, and credit risk system enhancements.
  • Maintain and develop risk capabilities, skills and infrastructure to meet ongoing business needs and plans.
  • Ensure effective management of operational risks within the CCR Monitoring function and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations.
  • Ensure proper and up-to-date documentation of monitoring control process and procedure
People and Talent
  • To build a team culture that focuses on process efficiency and constant solution-seeking mentality.
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
  • Uphold and reinforce the independence of the CCR Monitoring and CCR Operational Risk functions.
  • Lead by example and build the appropriate culture and values within CCR Monitoring and CCR Operational Risk functions.
  • Maintain Service Level Agreement with GBS Monitoring Team; Train and develop GBS Team and conduct relevant Service Review Meetings.
Risk Management
  • Design and maintain an effective monitoring and control framework for counterparty limits, portfolio limits and transaction requirements.
  • Assist CCR Risk Managers to raise issues related to risk identification, measurement, reporting, and modelling, and follow through on rectification.
  • Assist CCR Risk Managers to identify material risk exposures and related issues for any needed further escalation to relevant Governance Committees and Risk Forums.
  • Ensure the completeness of Operational Risk Control activities, i.e., KCIs/CSTs, Business Continuity Plan, Recovery Exercise, Fire Drills, etc. for CCR Monitoring and identify and address any significant gaps that may exist between them.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the requirements of the Bank\'s key external stakeholders in respect to CCR Monitoring and ensure these are well understood internally and reflected in internal procedures.
Governance
  • Ensure that CCR Monitoring controls are aligned to CCR Standards.
  • Maintain an open and cooperative relationship in dealings with regulators and auditors.
  • Assist Risk Framework Owner (RFO) and Group Process Owner (GPO) to implement a robust Operational Risk Framework for CCR Process Universe and oversee its effective application.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5+ years of experience in the Technology space including project management of IT projects.
  • Experience in programming skills like Python, C++
  • Implementation of system solutions.
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Licenses and Certifications / accreditations in IT or technology-related fields
  • Significant experience in managing stake holders across businesses and functions.
