JOB PURPOSE Responsible for developing and maintaining business with clients from the Greater China region To develop and efficiently manage the Bank's corporate assets portfolio, coordinate strategic planning process and prepare business plan and budget in compliance with Group strategy and within regulatory and risks parameters To direct the business focus into areas of activities which are sound, profitable and consistent with the Bank's overall business objectives with consideration being given to the risk aspect of the targeted businesses To efficiently manage the bank's existing corporate assets portfolioPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES To appoint, motivate and manage relationship managers reporting to him who are responsible for defined segments of the business, holding them accountable to himself for their performance in their respective areas of responsibility. To actively market the Bank's corporate banking products towards successful acquisition of productive corporate assets, structured deals and fee based activities. In charge of business development and portfolio management of the business in the Greater China Region, handling mid-tier to large corporates Ensure credit proposals for corporate asset acquisition and structured deals comply with internal and external regulations, and are in-line with the Bank's objectives/strategies. To maintain reasonable insight into macroeconomics of industries and developments of markets under its purview. Review expediently all corporate assets to ensure compliance with risks parameters duly set. To monitor and optimize utilization of facilities. To perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisors from time to time. Compliance & risk adherence according to HQ guidelines. Ensure fit and proper status and is responsible for his/her employees and the conduct of the business under his/her purview. To carry out roles and responsibilities as set out in the terms of reference of the Branch Management Committee. (if applicable)KEY COMPETENCIES: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Banking industry Relevant Degree from a reputed university Strong working knowledge in cashflow, deposit business, origination andstructured syndication loans in the Greater China Region Proactive and marketing oriented Well connected in the banking community in Singapore Sound credit analysis skills, loan documentation and negotiation skills Presentation skills Communication & interpersonal skills Analytical and problem-solving/decision-making skills Product & market knowledge Ability to work as team leader as well as team player Occasional travelling is required Will deal with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and documents hence proficiency in Mandarin is required
