Digital Business Services combines global expertise and technology to help keep us ahead of the competition.We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Domain Services Investment Solutions.Principal ResponsibilitiesThe Domain Services Head will be leading a hands on engineering team to build and run the Investment Solutions platform. There are six main dimensions to this role:Platform Management

• Lead an engineering team to design, build and run the platform technology
• Partner with Value Stream and Sub-Value Stream Tech Lead to provide technology capabilities that enable delivery.
• Promote Architecture and Technical Standards and ensure appropriate global, re-usable technologies and capabilities are leveraged for efficient technology delivery.
• Derive competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of the organization
• Ensure transparency and act as a point of escalation on all aspects of the platform including resourcing, financials, resilience and platform maintenance.

Resilience

• Ensure stability and continuity of the platform by implementing robust resilience strategies with timely mitigation of risks.
• Measure, track and improve customer focused operational KPIs (Example: Technology service minutes without customer disruption)
• Drive high technology service performance, resolving incidents in a timely fashion.

Demand and Capacity Management

• Manage resource capacity to meet Sub-Value Stream demand in collaboration with the Sub-Value Stream Tech Leads.
• Act as an enabler to ensure the delivery teams have the right skills to deliver new features and capabilities, maintain and support applications and adopt Agile and DevSecOps practices.
• Identify, collate, and participate in the prioritisation of Domain Services related capacity demand.

People Leadership

• Lead and inspire a high performing team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture that ultimately contributes to improved sub-value stream delivery.
• Improve the Employee Engagement Score.
• Improve Engineering Competency, for example, increase the number of Secure Code Warriors and Certified Cloud Engineers.

Standards & Governance

• Follow HSBC technology standard and agile development methodology
• Champion standardized CI/CD practices, lean-agile ways of working and utilization of strategic toolset.
• Accountable for build of compliant solutions to meet local regulatory requirements across global markets
• Promote the adoption of HSBC and WPB Architecture and Technical Standards.

Domain Services Led Initiatives

• Be responsible for raising and ensuring priority for Domain Services-led initiatives such as new capabilities, re-factoring, re-platforming
• Drive adoption of best practice delivery engineering tooling and methods for all Domain Services resources across all Sub-Value Streams

Requirements

• Demonstrated Ability to independently lead and deliver Technology capabilities while effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
• In-depth understanding of private banking and wealth services including investment advisory, wealth planning, insurance and discretionary portfolio management and familiarity with a wide range of financial products offered by private & wealth institutions.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, guide and develop teams, driving performance and fostering a positive organization culture
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate multiple geographies and functions.
• Proven experience in crafting compelling narratives that summarize and visualize strategies, technical challenges, and complex issues.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities and the ability to lead and influence.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with private banking technology as well as digital transformation and innovation in banking technology.
• Experience in drive outcomes through Agile and DevOps methodology and principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, finance, or IT preferred
