Sitting in the Global Overheads Business Partnering team, the role will be responsible for our Global IT function (Annual Spend circa 400 million GBP). The role will be required to work closely with the CIO & senior leaders to drive highly reliable financial planning and optimal decision making both for OPEX and multi-year CAPEX costs in an agile and accelerated complex delivery setup. You will need to be able to provide very clear and summarised complex financial information to senior stakeholders, including variance drivers to budget, reforecast and historical trends. In addition, you will need to bring in a return on investment lens on any capex spend to prioritise investments. You will be responsible for producing various ad-hoc analysis for our Global CFO as well as delivering global Control and Monitoring projects and finance transformation initiatives. Main Job Responsibilities: Work in partnership with the Regional Finance Leads and the Group Functional stakeholders to provide accurate and comprehensive annual budgets and forecasts leveraging bottom up ZBB principles across OPEX & CAPEX spends Establish and operationalise standard investment appraisal processes to prioritise capex spend and bring rigour to drive sustainable cost efficiencies Manage the complex environment of a major global function with significant requirements to control & conduct investment appraisal large spends across discrete multi-year projects Manage and develop a team of 2-3 qualified senior Finance analysts Own the monthly presentation of financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variances including understanding financial opportunities and risk Independently conduct monthly review meetings with senior budget holders and the Head of Finance Work closely with the HR business partner to ensure headcount reporting and planning is aligned Ensure timely financial management information is prepared, including incisive commentary backed by detailed analysis of spend Be comfortable dealing with and working through issues and operational challenges with the functional leads, getting into the appropriate level of detail to ensure your understanding of their cost drivers and your ability to input into our global cost or business reviews Drive continuous improvement by identifying people, process and / or technology initiatives to drive efficiencies and agility within the Global Overheads function Build strong relations across the organisation and provide financial support to decision making Dyson is an equal opportunity employer.
