They offer a wide range of products and ser Our Client: Our client is licensed by The Monetary Authority of Singapore as a Wholesale Bank, Exempt Capital Markets Services Entity, and Exempt Financial Adviser (MAS). They offer a wide range of products and services to our clients, including corporate lending, trade financing, cash deposits/remittances, and hedging solutions, with a focus on the General Corporates, Transportation (Aviation & Shipping), and Financial Institutions (FIs) sectors. They are actively looking for their Head of Internal Audit in Singapore. The Responsibilities: . Provide an independent assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, as well as the compliance of the Branch's businesses and functions with laws, regulations, and internal policies . Ensure that audit activities within the Branch are carried out in accordance with local regulatory requirements . Provide country management with assurance that local regulatory requirements, as well as the expectations of the local regulator, are fully met. Identify control gaps and/or make recommendations for process improvement . Carry out the annual self-inspection plan in accordance with the methodology, procedures, and timelines established by the Head Office's Internal Audit . Timely escalation of audit issues and monitoring of audit issue remediation plans . Monitor Branch activities in order to implement recommendations and seek management support to drive corrective action The Requirements: . Degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline. Accounting / Audit qualification is strongly preferred (e.g CA, CIA) . Minimum 10 years' related working experience within the Banking Industry as professional auditors or business practitioners with core audit / business skills . Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to gain the respect from teams, peers, senior management, and stakeholders . Confident and courageous to raise concerns and issues in a proactive and professional manner . Good understanding of Banking products and associated risks . Possess leadership skills .
