Overview:We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Head of Operations to lead the operational endeavors at a prestigious international oil trading house. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in spearheading operational excellence, ensuring seamless execution, and driving efficiency across all facets of our trading operations.Responsibilities:

• Spearhead and oversee all operational aspects of trading activities, including logistics, shipping, storage, and inventory management.
• Formulate and implement strategic initiatives to optimize operational workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of trades, encompassing scheduling deliveries, managing transportation, and coordinating storage facilities.
• Develop and enforce operational best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance protocols to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and mitigate operational risks.
• Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of operational processes.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
• Liaise with trading, risk management, finance, and other departments to align operational activities with company objectives and trading strategies.
• Develop and implement contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to address operational challenges and disruptions effectively.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Proven track record of at least 10 years in operational leadership roles, preferably within the oil and gas industry or commodity trading sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management principles, coupled with a successful track record of optimizing operational processes and driving efficiency.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in analyzing operational data and implementing data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to trading operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, trading platforms, and other relevant software tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in managing operational challenges.
