Then come in and join our Asia Pacific team as Head of Point-of-Care (POC), Asia Pacific (AP). This position reports to the Head of Diagnostics AP and has the following goals and responsibilities.

The Head of POC, AP is accountable for achieving the POC business line’s sales and profit goals by managing all product lines within the Portfolio. Responsible to provide leadership in setting the AP strategic growth plans in conjunction with the Global Business Line Leadership and Franchises. This position is responsible to sustain and represent the specificity of the region within the Global POC strategy and framework.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will be member of the AP Diagnostics Leadership Team, accountable for AP Point-of-Care Diagnostics (POC) Business.
  • You will be member of the Global POC Commercial Leadership Team, accountable for the development, alignment, and execution of POC go-to-market strategy and tactics.
  • You will be responsible and accountable for AP POC business success working with autonomy to ensure targets are delivered for Revenue, Profit, SG&A, Service, and market share development.
  • You will be the interface between AP teams and the global teams. Establishes and manages global activities with POC Franchises and leads the regional team efforts in alignment with global priorities and initiatives.
  • You will lead the efforts of the AP POC Team with the Zone Leadership through partnering with impact and influence; working to ensure strong alignment across the Diagnostics business, with special focus and priority to the POC business and franchises.
  • You will lead the AP POC vision, strategy, and new product launches for Blood Gas, Cardiac, Diabetes, Urinalysis and Critical Care Systems (epoc) as well as POC Informatics and Rapid Assay Portfolio; owns the development of the AP Go-To-Market activities associated with New Product Introductions, such as launch plans, market strategy, sales training, collateral development, and pricing. Drives strategic priorities and leads regional new product commercialization teams while managing trade-off decisions for portfolio by assessing customer requirements, preparing compelling business cases, and working with Global, cross-functional teams, Zones, and Countries.
  • You will interface with and provides support to the Zone Business Leads, Zone Business Management, Regional Finance, and countries in alignment with the Zone team on a wide range of business development activities including but not limited to identifying new product & market opportunities, sales channel, and strategy formulation and execution, as well as driving coverage by expanding partner networks, where applicable.
  • You will provide support to the Zones for the respective POC product lines in achieving their P&L targets.
  • You will lead the development of all regional campaigns for the portfolio.
  • You will partner with Global Clinical Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Finance, Legal and Regulatory to ensure compliance of marketing messages/ claims and country registrations.
  • You will identify, analyze, and report on competitive threats, customer concerns, and market dynamics.
  • You will act as the Portfolio ambassador driving relationships with KOLs, key decision makers and builds an AP reference site strategy.
  • You serve as adviser and portfolio subject matter expert to country marketing teams and to global by providing voice of customer.
  • You will mentor Zone Business Managers to successfully drive day-to day operational and tactical activities in their respective Zone and Countries.
  • You will partner with AP Region Sales Operations to provide market transparency, channel and CRM excellence to improve sales performance and coverage.

Your qualifications and experiences:

  • You hold a successfully completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Health Sciences, or related discipline required. MBA preferred.
  • You have at least 10 years of successful industry experience in Commercial Sales, Marketing, Product Management and/or Business Management in In-Vitro Diagnostics, Point-of-Care experience is a plus.
  • You demonstrated strong track record of performance driving business results with focus on overall P&L.
  • You demonstrated experience in scaling businesses and launching products in new markets.
