Head of Security, South Asia Our South Asia business is a growth engine for Telstra, focused on providing global business customers of all sizes with industry based services and solutions. We meet a critical need in the market – combining connectivity infrastructure across the world with the leading technology solutions and expertise. We are looking for a Head of Security, South Asia . The primary function of this role is to lead the Cyber Security function for the business, drive the security strategy for the region in partnership with our international security function. You will collaborate with key customer accounts, vendor partners, as well as Telstra leadership to drive clarity of solution and services specifications, and the development of key go-to-market offerings leading to sales-team enablement and standardised security offerings. Representing the Security domain pillar of Telstra’s international business, this customer facing role will also have direct involvement in both the existing Purple Enterprise Solutions and Capability function, and the aligned Product & Technology Product Owners. The role will require a “finger on the pulse” in terms of being aware of new security and technology trends, market conditions and business goals.

  • Lead the development and execution of the Security Strategy for Enterprise across the South Asia region.
  • Work on expanding the security partner ecosystem and build out security service offerings
  • Work closely with our regional sales team to build a pipeline of new opportunities across the security portfolio and successful closure of large complex enterprise deals
  • Drive innovation across the Telstra international security practice increasing brand presence and overall market share.
  • Lead the South Asia security team providing clear direction in both strategic objectives for the security practice and grow the security portfolio.
  • Evangelise our Security and services offerings with passion and subject matter expertise.
  • Represent the Telstra brand through customer facing and industry engagements, peering with client counterparts i.e. CISO, CTO, CIO etc…
The ideal candidate will have highly developed skills and experience in customer management, enterprise consulting and cloud solutions, including: Qualifications/Experience:
  • Experience in designing/delivery of strategic security solutions with an emphasis on Enterprise scale and complexity
  • Extensive and demonstrated experience in Security Architecture and Design with the ability to get “into the weeds” and define / align strategic solution outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of emerging security technology and trends such as SASE/SSE and Cloud native
  • Extensive experience in consultative lead selling, critical stakeholder focused and ability to produce client facing artefacts including presentations, strategies and documentation
  • Exposure to various security frameworks and methodologies such as NIST CSF, CIS MITRE as well as other best practices and technologies
  • Technical leadership and management of multiple client engagements, defining and understand customer problems, development of strategies
  • Exceptional communication skills, high level of technical expertise and extremely passionate about Cyber Security topics and technologies
  • Provide senior security domain expertise and guidance for both clients, internal stakeholder and the security team
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in delivering security engagements at scale to large and medium sized enterprise organisations
  • Minimum 10 years’ of Subject Matter Expertise delivered to clients across multiple technology domains (broad ICT, Networks, Converged Infrastructure, Data Centre, Cloud, Enterprise Mobility, Integrated Service Management and selected Industry Solutions.)
  • Up to date certifications on one or more relevant security domains such as CISSP
