Job Purpose: The Head of Technology is primarily responsible for all aspects of the Athleaders Group's information technology (IT), information systems (IS) and digitalization initiatives including strategy, planning, organizing, implementing and maintenance.The role is a core role, and consist of two main streams: The Head of Technology shall oversee the conceptualization, development and dissemination of technology for external customers, vendors, employees, partners and other stakeholders with the primary objectives of customer satisfaction, business growth and margin enhancement.The Head of Technology shall also be responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose, efficient and effective IT tools, products and services to the entire Group that will enable all employees to operate at optimal efficiency, with minimal disruptions, delays or downtime.Key Responsibilities: Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company. Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs. Proposing and obtaining buy-in for medium- and long-term goals for research and development. Creating (and delivering within) timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services. Driving all executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements. Ensuring continuous and consistent customer centricity in all IT tools, products and services. Staying on top of technology trends and developments. Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards. Mentoring team members on all aspects relating to IT and digital. Developing, maintaining and publishing of Group IT policies, standards and guidelines. Responsible for all aspects of the Company's information technology and systems including hardware, software, networks, security and communication : 1. 99.9% uptime availability through robust resilient architecture and planned maintenance2. Optimal asset management including servers, switches/routers, PCs/laptops, smartphones (inventoried, maintained in good working order and not obsolete)3. Network bandwidth monitored to ensure that bandwidth adequately supports business requirements (including messaging, voice, video, ERP, SF.com, Danaos etc)4. Data on servers and PCs backed up daily / weekly respectively, recovery within reasonable time to meet business requirements5. Planned Database and Systems Administration6. Updates and Patches (security, software, OS, etc.) tested and installed within reasonable time7. Security from current known threats for all LAN/Internet networks and all hardware attached to the networks8. Licensing is adequate, monitored and compliant Coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization; Implementation and control of projects that relate to the selection, acquisition, development, installation of major information systems including hardware, software maintenance contracts. Categorise, plan and prioritise reports/enhancements for software/applications requested, evaluate them by ROI and address them in timely manner Ensuring IT systems and operations comply to applicable laws and regulations Ensuring that the Group has a robust disaster recovery and business continuity plan; managing IT incidents to minimize business impact and protect company assets and reputation. During such incidents, provide regular communications including updates/reminders so that users are well informed and business disruption is managed. Develop, coordinate and manage annual IT capex and opex budgets.Joint Accountabilities: The Head of Technology shall work closely with the CEO and COO to uphold and promote Athleaders Group values including a collective responsibility to customer satisfaction, social justice and personal integrity (which includes protecting the Group's interests in all dealings).Attributes: Master of Science in Computer Science/Engineering with 4-6 years' work experience; OR Doctorate in Computer Science/Engineering with 0-2 years work experience. Must have a good understanding of AI, ML, Data Science and Distributed Networks. Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems. Expertise in IT planning, organization, and development. Exposure to different ERP systems. Good knowledge of business processes and relevant software project management experience. Report Writing - knowledge and experience in reporting tools such as BPC would be advantageous. Ability to manage vendor selection, negotiation and contracting. Experience in effectively working in cross cultural environments. Experience in managing external hosting, and local and overseas IT vendors. IT Budget Management. Change Management.
