The Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented and motivated leader for the role of Head of SST Switching & Debit Cards.
Under the agile framework, the Head of SST Switching & Debit Cards will be the Technology Hive Lead for the SST Switching Hive, Debit Card Hive and responsible to the Fraud Risk Management Hive. This role will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery, major transformation and support of the bank\'s global switching for domestic/international/scheme payments, terminal, agency banking, settlement, fraud and card services across 27 markets. These platforms form part of the bank\'s crown jewels and most critical set of applications. We are looking for strong individuals that have proven experience in large scale organisation and platform transformation, technology strategy, risk management and compliance.
The candidate should have the ability to moderate tone and technical depth based on audience and ability to pick-up on non-verbal communication. An individual who is passionate about technology and has the drive and capability to absorb and retain vast amounts of deep technical information continuously. Someone who can influence, deliver, overcome issues associated with legacy systems and can successfully win-over and inspire team members and stakeholders.
Strategy

  • Understanding and delivery of TTO strategy and objectives
  • Understanding and strict compliance to TTO and bank policies
Establish, continuously refine and execute upon platform strategy for:
  • Self-Service Terminals (SST) including ATM, CRM, CDM, CQM and VTM
  • Terminal management and security applications
  • Card Management including both debit & credit
  • Payment & transaction processing
  • Agency banking
  • Reconciliation & settlements
  • Fraud management
Business
  • Holistic platform and service management including support, risk and compliance
  • Develop and optimise operational budgets, change investment and delivery plans
  • Lead and inspire team and stakeholders
Processes
  • Encryption and key management processes for payment services
  • Terminal management processes
  • Adherence to all TTO processes for both application delivery and support
People & Talent
  • Establish, continuously refine and execute upon people, talent and location strategy
  • Build a high performing team and centre of excellence
  • Own and contribute to people agenda workstreams including driving diversity and inclusion, mentoring program and other key engagement activities
Risk Management
  • Risk and audit management
  • Ensures adherence to Bank and information systems policies and procedures, security measures, and audit standards
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct .
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Switching & Debit Cards Technology team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\'s Conduct Principles. Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • External partners to SCB including scheme and local networks
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group\'s brand and values in Channel Services, Switching & Debit Cards team; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats);
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant domain experience
  • Organised, nuanced, tenacious and tactful
  • Experience in leading and transforming large technology team teams and platforms
  • Experience operating in a demanding technology environment
  • Strong analytics and presentation skills, including the presentation of data in well-crafted documents and packs
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Confident, proactive and responsible
