About this role Constellar is creating a new central procurement function for the Group, with a view to achieve good governance and control with respect to the Group's contracting and procurement needs. The successful candidate will create new policies and direction for the Group, build a contracts and procurement team, and manage the department for procurement efficiencies/economies of scale, and to ensure good governance. Drive the creation of policies and governance for the contracts/procurement department Lead the procurement team in procurement project implementation. Involves enabling and implementing new and existing procurement projects Supervise the team in internal and external audits. Involves working with divisions to establish management responses to the audit observations. Include preparation, submission and presentation Collaborate with internal Divisions and external institutions on identifying potential opportunities for sourcing and process efficiencies, benchmarks and alignment, and improvements Ensure schedules and procurement KPIs are managed and met Periodical review and Identify opportunities for process and system enhancement for operational efficiency. Develop and implement good procurement governance and controls Engage stakeholders and provide timely advice and assistance whenever is required Lead and supervise outsource service providers, if required Track and manage timely internal communications on procurement matters to the organisation. This includes planning of calendar of events and ensuring prompt implementation by the team Plan and implement procurement training for the users Responsible for the development/management of procurement systems Involved in corporate planning and execution, and other operational matters as and when required To help you succeed in this role, you should have Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Minimum 10 years of experience, with minimum of 4 years leading up a Procurement team Savvy in the space of innovative digital solutions Strong analytical skills Strong organizational and planning skills Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Strong team player with effective written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead and motivate staff, strengthen team cohesion and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisation goals
