The Role Responsibilities
Job Role
This role forms part of the GPO function for Capital and forms part of Finance. The role is an integral part of the leadership team of the GPO - Capital function and the broader GFS Management Team and is expected to drive the strategic transformation initiatives that are underway within the function.
The GPO function for Capital and CRR is a 150+ strong team that directly supports as a Centre of Excellence for all Reporting and Analytics in respect of Capital and CRR.
The role of GPM, Transformation, Capital, involves leading a team of transformation experts bringing together functional knowledge as well as technology know-how to drive strategic change initiatives within the function with an aim to digitise processes with next generation technology, add commercial value to the business and develop a future ready operating model and workforce.
The role holder needs to extensively collaborate with peers in the team, particularly GPM Capital and Other Leads, under both Group and National Discretion rules as applicable. The role also involves significant levels of interaction with Group Finance / Treasury and Regional Treasury across the footprint to understand the impact of change initiatives to the business.
The key measures of success that will be used to evaluate the performance of the role holder are the robust implementation of strategic and tactical change initiatives resulting in improved (more industrialised and well controlled) processes, evolving the operating model within the function and the adjacent teams to derive maximum synergy, significantly improve the value add to the business through the design and rollout of industry leading analytical tools.
The role holder is expected to be an ambassador for the function promoting and enhancing its brand both internally within the organisation and externally.
The role holder is expected to be the torch bearer of innovation within the function.
Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic and tactical transformation initiatives that impact Capital reporting and Analytics.
  • Lead the campaign for innovation within the function including but not limited to the introduction of cutting-edge technologies for digitising processes such as Robotics and Machine Learning.
  • Lead the thinking and rollout of rapid application solutions as \'here and now\' solutions for automation besides serving as a blueprint for strategic tools.
  • Represent the Capital GPO function in Enterprise-wide initiatives to address operational and data quality issues.
  • Partner with reporting leads to drive the impact analysis owing to enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Represent the Capital GPO function in the various Senior Management Governance Forums and drive decision making around the change backlog, prioritisation, choice of technology and the operating model.
  • Design and implement operating model on the back of transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a change gate keeper and ensure that the changes made to the systems and processes are smoothly embedded into BAU.
  • Provide functional expertise and guidance in remediation work as well as strategic platform rollout.
  • Support the broader Capital function in building domain expertise within the team on risk as well as reporting aspects.
  • Growth and development of people within the team with an aim to develop a future ready workforce.
Strategy
Drive the formulation and execution of strategy to transform Capital function towards operational excellence through strategic as well as tactical initiatives.
Key objectives of the strategy are to transform the function to drive efficiencies and enhance reporting processes and controls, supported by enhancements to subject matter expertise and knowledge capabilities.
Business
Add value to the business through the design and rollout of industry leading analytical tools for Capital reporting and Analytical\'s.
Processes
  • Partner with the reporting leads within Capital function in designing the processes with robust controls with regards to data sourcing, calculations, and reporting of key regulatory and internal metrics.
People and Talent
  • Build, lead, coach and develop team of highly skilled individuals who embody both functional and digital expertise to position the function as \'future ready\'.
Risk Management
  • Responsible for ensuring that transformation initiatives impact Capital function mitigate the operational risk of the underlying processes.
Governance
  • Monitor and ensure that appropriate Change governance is followed across all transformation initiatives.
  • Represent the function at the governance forums in place for tracking change initiatives and influence decisions in respect of the change backlog, prioritisation, choice of technology tools and the operating model.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 15+ Years of experience in Capital regulation.
  • Basel IV Implementation - User Acceptance Testing for National Discretionary and Group Reporting Projects
  • Prepare Test Strategy, Test Case and get Stakeholders Signoff for the testing Performed
  • Perform Impact Analysis
  • Provide consultation to Production Team for Pre-production
  • Keep Track of Defects and Highlight risks on time for remediation.
