ABOUT THE ROLE As a Sales manager you are responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel. Also develops strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue. Identify areas of opportunity in performance and recommend tools and sales training to optimize performance of sales team. Additionally work with individual hotel teams to identify skill development areas and properly deploy sales and marketing resources. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Develop and secure new business from domestic and international markets, and to maximize revenue from existing accounts Achieve a weekly / monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of sales meetings and new accounts. Achieve an annual set of Revenue Targets. Maintain responsibility of selected key accounts. Be proactive with locating new business through the appropriate media. Work with Director, Head of Sales and Marketing to train new members of the Sales department. Negotiate effectively to achieve an overall high Average Daily Rate (ADR). Proactively drive revenue and secure business. Ensure efficient administration of the department is taking place to support all sales activities. Optimize room utilization by assessing the demand and supply for accommodation. Manage special projects under the direction of Director of Sales & Marketing. Perform other related ad hoc duties as assigned.
