Responsibilities:
Serve as the appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to ensure compliance with relevant fire safety regulations, fire protection systems, and preventive measures in accordance with statutory requirements.
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems and related documentation.
Plan, recommend, and implement effective HSE initiatives in response to inspections, audits, and incident investigations to reduce operational risks and safeguard personnel and assets.
Conduct and participate in regular HSE inspections, emergency drills, and committee meetings. Organize awareness programs and campaigns to strengthen workplace safety culture and ensure employee engagement.
Participate in accident and incident investigations and assist in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct audits to verify compliance with safe work procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements.
Oversee the maintenance and readiness of emergency response equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Liaise with relevant authorities on HSE matters, including the coordination of audits, inspections, and emergency exercises.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental, or Occupational Health & Safety discipline
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as FSM and WSHO, preferably in process-related environments
Registered FSM with SCDF and Registered WSHO with MOM
Well-versed in HSE management systems such as SS651 and ISO 14001, with hands-on experience in internal audits
