Conduct thorough investigations of marine accidents and incidents, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Analyze accident trends and security information to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement effective countermeasures and safety policies.
Disseminate safety information and best practices through circulars and training programs.
Operational Support:
Provide expert guidance and support to vessel operations, chartering, and post-fixture teams on safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct shore-based training for seafarers and manage pre-joining briefings.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of evolving maritime regulations, technologies, and industry best practices.
Emergency Response:
Manage and coordinate the Crisis Management Centre during emergencies.
Maintain and update the Crisis Management Plan.
Conduct drills to ensure effective emergency response capabilities.
Data Analysis & Insights:
Analyze accident statistics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Leverage data analysis and insights to inform safety decisions and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications Summary:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or a related field from a reputable university/college.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Superintendent (Marine/Manning) in a ship management company. Proven experience as a Chief Officer on board Container Vessels.
