Job Description

Role:

• Ensure the safe and economical operation of allocated ships.
• Be fully familiar with the Company\'s Management System.
• Effectively implement the Company\'s Management System.
• Contribute to the development or amendment of procedures.
• Promote and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Monitor compliance with the Company\'s Management System in shipboard and departmental activities.
• Oversee the performance, technical, and operational conditions of assigned ships.
• Ensure prudent financial management.
• Arrange for repairs and dry dockings.
• Ensure ships are fully certified to international standards and requirements.
• Ensure appropriate manning of ships.
• Prepare technical reports for owners in compliance with the management agreement.
• Foster a strong safety culture and environmental & energy awareness on board assigned ships.
• Provide support to shipboard management on technical and operational matters.

• Holds a marine degree from a university with at least three years of experience on ships or in the shipping industry.
• Alternatively, possesses a Chief Engineer\'s license with at least two years of sea service as a Chief Engineer.
• Alternatively, has served as a Technical Superintendent with another shipping company for at least two years.
• Experience with container and bulk vessels.
• Strong leadership, control, and communication abilities.
• Team-oriented with a good command of English.
• Solid understanding of the marine industry and relevant regulations.
• Strong technical knowledge of assigned vessels.
• Familiar with purchasing and budget cost management.
