Seeking a qualified HVAC Engineer with hands-on experience in construction and commissioning of HVAC systems for pharmaceutical or cleanroom facilities. The engineer will oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment and ensure compliance with GMP standards, regulatory guidelines, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise HVAC system installation activities including ductwork, chilled water piping, AHUs, FCUs, HEPA filters, VAV boxes, and associated instrumentation.
Manage construction quality control to ensure HVAC installations meet cleanroom requirements and GMP/ISO standards.
Oversee testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) activities and ensure proper airflow, temperature, and pressure differential in classified areas.
Lead the HVAC commissioning process, including IQ/OQ documentation, SAT/FAT, and integration with BMS or EMS systems.
Work closely with validation and quality assurance teams to align HVAC commissioning with qualification protocols.
Interface with design consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams to resolve technical issues.
Monitor and enforce safety, schedule, and compliance throughout the construction and startup phase.
Prepare and maintain technical reports, as-built documentation, and commissioning logs.
Assist in troubleshooting and rectifying any HVAC-related deficiencies during pre-qualification or startup testing.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent.
Minimum 5-8 years of HVAC experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or cleanroom construction sector.
Proven track record in HVAC system construction, testing & commissioning, ideally in GMP environments.
Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, ISO 14644, and GMP/GLP compliance.
Familiarity with BMS, EMS, and validation protocols (DQ, IQ, OQ).
Proficient in reading and interpreting HVAC drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
Willing to work at project sites and in cross-functional teams under a project-driven schedule.
