Details of the Division and Team:

The Investment Bank has a large research footprint, that both stands in its own right, and provides support broadly to one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading financial institution. The Asian Company Research team provides equity research advisory service to clients in Asia and globally. The Research Associate performs in-depth financial analysis using a range of quantitative and qualitative methods to generate high-quality ideas and recommendations, on the relevant product/industry group for internal and/or external stakeholders, as applicable, working under the guidance of Research Analysts/Research Managers.

Your key responsibilities:

Track major economic indicators of Asian economies and analyze their impact on financial markets.

Understand inter-linkages between the macro indicators internal to the country as well as external.

Have a good knowledge of databases, handle big data, create charts, work on complicated excel based models and use various statistical methods of forecasting the same.

Create/work on econometric models.

Write reports, commentaries and compile news roundups.

Process clients requests.

Handle ad hoc research requests as per requirements

Your skills and experience:

Demonstrate good understanding of economics concepts and principles. That is, able to analyze data and their potential impact on the broader economy and financial markets. Also, good understanding of industrial organization.

Proficiency in statistical analysis or econometrics Must be able to handle big data sets, including proficiency at excel programming and eviews or any other statistical software packages.

Knowledge of database tools: CEIC, Haver, Reuters, Bloomberg, and other financial databases; various central bank and statistical websites.

Demonstrate ability to write related reports and create presentations.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
