The Investment Bank has a large research footprint, that both stands in its own right, and provides support broadly to one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading financial institution. The Asian Company Research team provides equity research advisory service to clients in Asia and globally. The Research Associate performs in-depth financial analysis using a range of quantitative and qualitative methods to generate high-quality ideas and recommendations, on the relevant product/industry group for internal and/or external stakeholders, as applicable, working under the guidance of Research Analysts/Research Managers.

Your key responsibilities:

Collect and analyze financial and macro data and predict their future paths and impact on (and of) macro policies.

Build economic models, write reports and give presentations

Provide insightful analysis of business cycle and structural shifts.

Engage with external and internal clients during meetings (including overseas) in person and via (video) calls.

Your skills and experience:

Minimum 4 years of experience working as macro analyst in financial markets and/or as an economist.

In-depth knowledge of minimum two ASEAN markets \xe2\x80\x93 Indonesia, in particular.

Deep understanding of economic theories and the macro data and policy impact on financial markets.

Proficiency in statistical analysis/econometrics. (Econometric modelling is a must, while big data handling is a big plus.)

Knowledge of database tools: CEIC, Haver, Reuters, Bloomberg, and other financial databases; various central bank and statistical websites.

Ability to work well in a team

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
