Job description

Your assignment :


You are a strong contributor to the HR department and store management team, provide subject matter expertise, process HR operations matters and ensure that HR strategies are translated into action in the most effective and efficient way; in order to fulfil the purpose of the HR function. Your Objectives are :

  • Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you support and guide in the recruitment, introduction process and HR legislation and regulations matters in Singapore;
  • Be a strong and people contributor to the functional managers and co-workers;
  • You use the PEOPLE strategy framework and work towards attracting and retaining people, ensuring remuneration practices in the store are competitive within the local market and retail industry and the department equity;
  • You are also responsible to ensure uses of HR data to enable better management of all human resource related processes, payroll accuracy and timely, timekeeping and attendance and staff planning works in a timely and efficient way and all day to day HR operations of your respective functions;
  • Promote and safeguard the IKEA culture by being a role model who expresses the IKEA values in all HR operational matters and people agenda;
  • Actively work with strategic staff planning to optimise the customer experience by having competent and healthy IKEA co-workers available for our customers while securing an efficient running operation towards creating a great place to work;
  • Contribute to the relevant HR areas of the store action plan and take ownership for the implementation;
  • Any ad-hoc HR duties as assigned.

Qualification
Your profile
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a fast-paced retail environment preferred;
  • People-oriented; good analytical and interpersonal skills and attention to details. Partners with Stakeholders in building strong working relationship at all levels;
  • Strong communication skills and able to communicate clearly with people of different levels and in different situation;
  • Good working knowledge of the full spectrum of HR functions and well versed in the local
    employment law, regulations and practices;
  • Passionate about developing people and strong belief in individual\'s potential;
  • Lead business through people and identify with buy-in into IKEA Culture and Values;
  • HR knowledge on Talent Management, Recruitment, Performance Management & Competence Development.
  • Able to work on weekends
