What the role is:The Ministry of Law ensures a sound and progressive legal infrastructure, intellectual property infrastructure and insolvency regime, and optimizes land resources, to support national goals. You will be part of the Individual Insolvency and Debt Repayment Scheme Division of the Insolvency & Public Trustee\'s Office (IPTO) and handle Adjudication or Asset Realisation.What you will be working on:Adjudication You will be responsible for all areas of adjudication under the division and be involved in engaging bankrupts, individuals/entities in possession of information/documents relating to bankrupts\' assets, law firms and creditors. \xe2\x80\xa2 Examine the validity of claims filed by creditors. \xe2\x80\xa2 Correspond with creditors, solicitors and/or bankrupts on request for additional information and/or further documentary evidence in support of the claims filed against the bankruptcy estate - may include resolving disputes between creditors and bankrupts which arise in the adjudication of the Proof of Debt. \xe2\x80\xa2 Sending statutory rejection notice to creditors whose claims are not admitted by the Official Assignee. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct preliminary adjudication for case classification and the Official Assignee\'s asset realisation efforts. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assess creditors\' appeals to file Proof of Debt after the expiration of statutory timeline. \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with solicitors in respect of suits, counterclaims, contingent claims, and unquantified damages. Adopt relevant technology-enabled solutions to address current and future enforcement challenges. \xe2\x80\xa2 [Managing Incidents] Assess and respond professionally to difficult and exceptional incidents that disrupt daily operational activities (e.g. major threats to officer, agency, stakeholders and/ or general public). \xe2\x80\xa2 [Processing Cases] Ensure that each step in the case management process is carried out with professionalism and integrity. \xe2\x80\xa2 [Demonstrating resilience] Demonstrate emotional resilience and courage to overcome difficulties, persevering in driving towards purposeful outcomes. \xe2\x80\xa2 [Planning and managing operations] Plan and/or execute daily operations according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimise enforcement functions. Personal Traits / Work Experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Academic training preferably in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Law. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work experience of 1 to 2 years, preferably with experience in customer service. \xe2\x80\xa2 Meticulous and ability to multi-task. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good written and verbal communications skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work independently with minimal supervision. \xe2\x80\xa2 Energetic team-player with good interpersonal skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. \xe2\x80\xa2 Comfortable working with figures and have eye for detail and willing to deal with legal documents (e.g. judgments, Order of court). \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-aware, with a strong learning orientation.
