Job Description


The primary objective of the SIA’s Salesforce Technical Lead and Architect is to lead the Centre of Excellence (CoE) to develop, maintain, and constantly improve a reusable repository of tools, templates, best practices, and methodologies to manage the implementations and support solutions being deployed on the Salesforce/Force.com platform. To accomplish this, the CoE Lead must be able to work closely with other business units (product owners, end users, etc.), as well as IT leads, application reps and development team (both onsite and offshore). In addition, the CoE Lead will lead the team to innovate and recommend the solutions to maximize usage of Salesforce capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a reusable repository of tools, templates, best practices, and methodologies to manage the implementation for solutions being deployed on the Salesforce/Force.com platform
  • Determine the overall solution design of Salesforce components and integration required for business initiatives
  • Support Business and Application teams by identifying/solving their business challenge from a technical point of view and recommend optimal robust solutions
  • Technical lead for the custom developments implemented on Salesforce, driving the developers/vendors to build robust and scalable designs
  • Establishment of a documented methodology, including processes, templates, tools and best practices, for SFDC solution and service offerings
  • Leadership in the implementation of a delivery toolset such as SFDX Release management, CICD, Static Code Analysis, source code repository, etc. for force.com platform that can be used by project delivery teams
  • Identify expertise gaps in the CoE team and develop growth and enablement plans
  • Work and collaborate closely with our Service partners and Salesforce team of experts in better understanding the Sales and Service cloud product and feature roadmap and to identify suitable use cases for SIA and to maximize usage of Salesforce capabilities within SIA
Requirements
  • Degree with 9-10 years of work experience with full lifecycle Salesforce implementations and 6-7 years in proven project management/delivery experience on the Salesforce/Force.com platform (preferably in Agile methodology environment)
  • Experience working in a heavily customised org with many custom objects, integrations, varying declarative automation types and apps with clear examples of reverse engineering/simplifying configuration
  • Strong experience in Salesforce solution design and best practices and good understanding Visualforce, Apex, Triggers, Lightning web components
  • Experience of project delivery within a large enterprise setup
  • Ability to combine business domain requirements into Salesforce solutions
  • Extensive understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, Salesforce Security and data protection model
  • Strong expertise on Service Cloud and Sales Cloud
  • Good understanding of Salesforce licensing model
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team and executive level stake holder.
