The Project Management role is focused on managing the lifecycle of a project end to end including requirements gathering, designs, funding, planning, scheduling, implementation along with tracking progress and risk & issues.

You will be driving the delivery of projects across all services working closely with your project team, across all regions and multiple GTI & LOB technology teams while interfacing with senior managers and stakeholders in the organization. The role requires broad business process experience, relationship building and client management skills. Projects may be large cross-functional in nature or major strategic initiatives and may be underway or planned. Strong leadership, excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to remain calm and perform under pressure are a must have.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for running a variety of infrastructure projects with focus to corporate office build outs, office relocations and desktop technology deployments
  • Ensure all projects are delivered with high quality, on scope, on time & on budget
  • Provide governance and controls to all project financials to include developing business cases, forecasting, understanding P&L, depreciation.
  • Keep all projects on track escalating decisions to executive sponsors as necessary
  • Organizing the design and development of the Project
  • Ensure risk management strategies are followed and reviewed within guidelines
  • Plan and set project goals and milestones based on approved Charter / Statement of Works
  • Identify and secure resources including project team, vendors and consultants
  • Detect and solve project risk/issues effectively
  • Lead project team
  • Ensure project management standards and rigor is applied
  • Develop communications to executive sponsor & project stakeholders; conduct regularly scheduled briefings/status updates
  • Serve as single point of contact for project level risk & issues / questions / escalations
  • Prepares and/or provides project reporting, metrics, scorecards, etc.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to identify project inter-dependencies that may influence project success.
  • Supports team in distributing project information to executive management, and key stakeholders.
  • Create an environment that breeds trust and collaboration with others. Exhibit a strategic business focus with a customer-focused perspective.
  • Recognize areas for internal improvement and developing plans for implementing them.
  • Comply with company standards and procedures
  • Budget / Financial Management including Business Case completion
  • Evaluation of impact to Total Cost of Ownership for multiple simultaneous, complex projects

Work Experience
  • Substantial IT Project Management experience, or relevant business or team leadership
  • 7 years\' experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management)
  • Extensive experience in managing projects through all phases of the life cycle and expert working knowledge of an industry recognized Project Management methodology
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard project management tools for financial and project reporting (Clarity, Service Now, Microsoft Project)
  • Formal project management training and discipline knowledge required
  • Knowledge of technologies, systems, drivers and trends in global investment banking environments backed by a solid understanding of the banking industry fundamentals
  • Awareness of Agile Project Management techniques would be beneficial.
  • An understanding of line of business technology drivers
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, risk and security aspects
  • Proven experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups
  • Knowledge of Permit to Build and Permit to Operate
  • Extensive experience with multi-million dollar projects with high complexity and client focus.
  • Proven experience at delivering high quality projects on time & within budget
  • Extensive experience at presenting metrics to key stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across functions and teams, up and down the chain of comman
  • Listening and gathering customer/user inputs. Simplifying complex topics for non-technical audiences and preparing quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders.
  • Ability to motivate Project teams

  • Strong understanding of, and adherence to, Standard Project Lifecycle requirement

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • PMP / PRINCE or other formal project management discipline preferred, familiarity with Agile delivery practices beneficial
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across functions and teams, up and down the chain of command
  • Proven ability to lead project teams in delivering on time, high quality solutions
  • Experience with Project Task Estimation, Resource Scheduling, Risk Management, and Issue Management
  • Collaborates effectively with peers & broader technology teams to ensure successful deliveries
  • Ability to listen, analyse, influence, negotiate and use judgment to solve complex issues in order to accomplish project goals
