What you\'ll do

You\'ll be responsible for leading Innovation & Business Excellence (IBEX) and corporate strategy development across the organization in Singapore to deliver the Company\xe2\x80\x99s mid and long-term ambition. As a key member of the Country Leadership Team (CLT), you will share accountability for the leadership, strategic direction, business development and compliance of the market.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

You will lead the following functions:

  • Marketing and Digital Excellence (MEDX), Launch Excellence, Digital Innovation, Market Insights, Patient-centric solutions
  • Commercial Excellence (Sales Force Effectiveness, Segmentation & Targeting, Sales Force Incentive), Insights generation, External Market Research, CRM and systems (management and support)
  • Training and Capability Development (across the business)
  • Corporate Strategy Development
MEDX and Innovation:
  • Drive Business Innovation and transformation across the functions to ensure that strategies are supported throughout the organization.
  • Strategic and execution planning process and responsible for cross-functional team\xe2\x80\x99s readiness for all reviews by the regional team
  • Collaborate with the CLT to develop innovative digital solutions that drive optimal outcomes for customers. This includes leading the digital innovation and customer experience agenda for AZ Singapore Marketing \xe2\x80\x93 from multi-channel to omni-channel customer interactions and enabling health solutions, reimagining what it takes to deliver valued customer experiences and reinventing the capabilities and behaviours required to build a more patient-centric and digitally-enabled way of doing business.
  • Lead marketing capability building, market intelligence and insights, product launch excellence, and any other strategic projects
Commercial Excellence, Insights Generation, CRM
  • Define customer segmentation and targeting, and regularly reviews to ensure alignment with business strategy
  • Optimise sales force effectiveness KPIs/metrics/analysis, sales incentives design/planning, systems (Veeva) to inform business decisions from resource allocation to understanding the customer experience
  • Business intelligence and analytics: identify market trends, patterns and translate the data into actionable business insights.
  • Systems and data management. Drive continuous improvement of sales processes, sales capabilities and tools and supporting systems embedding automation and integration of data where possible.
  • Support enterprise analysis and insights in relevant areas by conducting comprehensive commercial assessment using external and internal data.
  • Develop business case for pipeline product opportunity or business simplification initiatives
  • Champion sales force effectiveness governance and compliance
Training and Capability Development
  • Sales force excellence. Build new commercial capabilities and strengthens sales capability development by developing, managing, and implementing learning programs, field audits, and any other tools/systems. This includes coaching and setting a sales capability framework
  • Co-ordinate and implement (with brand and medical teams) initial training courses for new and switch representatives and new joiners.
  • Assess current performance, identify capability gaps, and support development planning
  • Manage the organization of the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategy meetings and other internal events
Corporate Strategy Development
  • Develop and drive enterprise level strategies and business priorities across the organization in support of the growth ambition
  • Analyze and evaluate potential business development opportunities based on market environment and business portfolio
  • Lead change management of key business transformations and organization initiatives
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • Minimum 8 years of sales management/ marketing/ commercial excellence or corporate strategy experience in MNC.
  • Strategic, future oriented and externally focused thinking style
  • Strong analytic and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop teams (with or without direct reporting), lead change management and build robust institutional systems and capabilities
  • Experience leading cross-function collaboration, challenge and influence without direct authority and effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Can envision new ways of working and align large multifunctional organization to deliver value
Desirable Requirements:
  • MBA in relevant field
  • Experience in corporate strategy
  • Cross-functional experience spanning corporate strategy, marketing, sales leadership, digital innovation, SFE and data analytics, sales training, and business development in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
