Location/Division Specific Information Location: You will be located in Singapore and working with customers from SEA region including Singapore. The role may require travelling to customer sites, external and internal events occasionally. Division: The Genetic Testing Solutions Business Unit under Genetic Science Group, offers a uniquely diverse portfolio of genomic solutions across a wide range of technologies, including qPCR, Sanger Sequencing and Microarray etc, for clinical molecular diagnostic customers. A day in the Life:
  • Conduct cold calls to drive pre-sales activities
  • Understand clinical customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs, priorities and challenges to provide consultative solutions to address clinical customer problems.
  • Apply clinical disease knowledge and clinical application experience and apply consultative and strategic selling presentations during customer meetings
  • Support customers enquiry and provide whole workflow solutions by coordinating with global, regional teams and customers;
  • Provide support on demo protocols and training to clinical labs if vital
  • Lead the implementation of assays, products & clinical solutions within customer sites to drive sales number
  • Focus on high growth areas and markets, key applications to build and drive projects in new emerging markets.
  • Work with TSS, BD and Channel Managers on an annual Territory Plan and quarterly business plans to exceed financial goals
  • Conduct publication research and provide educational trainings on clinical utility of our portfolio to key collaborators
  • Provide medical/scientific knowledge to support our marketed products and/or products in development
Keys to Success: Education
  • MSc and/or PhD preferred in Human Genetics, Molecular Biology or Molecular Pathology, or Microbiology or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in Molecular Diagnostic (highly preferred) or Life Science industry, or similar Field Application Support experience.
  • Experience or familiar with lab accreditation process and quality programs such as CAP, RCPA, QCMD etc is highly preferred
  • Experience in communicating technical materials in written and verbal form.
  • Previous experience in a support/training-related position is desired.
  • Customer-facing experience is desired
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge on Analytical Validation and Clinical Validation process and requirement
  • Must have consultative competence -demonstrate extensive knowledge of qPCR/sequencing/microarray technologies and applications
  • Good presentation skills and communication skills, demonstrating value as a supporting partner in the pre-sales process
  • Emotional intelligence to understand customer concerns
  • Analytical mind with strong ability to troubleshoot sophisticated technical problems
  • Good computer and IT skills with interest for groundbreaking technologies
